Hey everyone i hope your are doing wonderful this fine day and look forward to hearing some suggestions to grow my hive account. Lets be honest im not that great of a blogger and it does not come naturally. So i started putting in some money this last week and have grown my account from basically nothing to $170. The days that i have been putting money in i have been splitting it into hive and hbd based off the hive price. I currently have 381.498 in hive power and 54.376 in hbd in savings. you cant go wrong with 20 percent apr in hbd savings right? ive been messing around with the curation aspect of it and are very curious about some of my math? I know you can earn aproximatly 3 percent by just have your hive powered up. But what is the best way to get the best curation rewards. So i figured out that 23 hive power is the going rate to get .001 curation reward. So in a perfect world if i upvoted at 100 percent voting power i would divide 23 by 381.48 to get my upvote percentage of 6 percent. Now if i take my 6 percent and divide it into 100 i get 16.667 times multiplied by .001 hive rewards i get .0167 hive every hour then multiply by 12 i would get .20 hive a day multiply by 365 i get 73 hive a year or more because its compounding correct? 73 then divided by 381.48 = 19.1 percent plus the 3 percent =22.1 percent. So is my math right that you can earn 22 percent by just up voting each year. Let me know what you think and give me ideas how you guys and gals do to grow your hive account! sorry about all the numbers lol

It's right that you get 3% a year for holding Hive Power.
In terms of curation, when you're actively curating, you should get 7% to 10% increase a year. That's the average which is always told. You can check it using some tools like hivestats.io for example.
thanks for the advice @stekene that hivestats.io is a cool site. its only showing me at .96 percent apr so far but im sure it will go up since i have been upvoting all week and just starting out.
Just make posts or content that people would appreciate. If you wanna go that route then that's another option for you to do.
Or join curation trails where you get some hbd or hive.

I blog fairly frequently, but even then if I get sick or something happens and have to stop, the earnings stop.
