Hopefully, new algorythms should, I hope, control the problem.
My girlfriend and I invested in Chia mining (XCH) which was supposed to be a greener alternative to the proof of work cryptomining. Really not sure about Chia anymore but soon enough, we'll have to figure out alternatives because it will become a major environmental problem.
