Hello and welcome to August edition of Valueplan the numbers. There is so much talk around DHF funding at the moment that I decided to do up some spread sheets to see exactly how the largest DHF funded project in charge of all the marketing for the Hive Blockchain was spending its funding.
I will break August into two posts as they contain an a large amount of info. If you want to look back at the last few months posts then the links are here.

Valueplan the Numbers July & YTD

Valueplan the Numbers part III : Recipient Account Values

The aim of this post is to make people aware of the numbers involved in the projects that Hive is paying for marketing purposes. Now I am not against Valueplan. Hive does need a marketing arm and people running the marketing arm. God love them because their reputations are taking a hit. I am happy with some of the funding but what I am totally against is people taking the piss and making us look like complete fools. Not just the project managers but myself and yourself who are watching the Hive price tank.
In Ireland there is uproar over a bike shed at government buildings that cost €335,000 to build. There are talks of corruption and there will be a commission set up that will investigate why a bicycle shed cost this amount of money. The project managers are going up in front of a committee to explain how it wasted €335,000 public funds on a bicycle shed that should have cost €20,000 at the most. I would like to see a Discord meeting set up with the projects funded and even the project managers that approved them to answer questions on some of the spending. I think it is only fair in a decentralised environment that everyone can see clearly how their funds are being spent. Maybe we can arrange this?

The project managers of Valueplan have taken considerable flack especially around the rally car. Having look into the figures now, in my opinion the rally car costs too much but I am OK with it. I once was not but I have made my peace with it. I do not think the rally car guys are taking the piss. I think they are trying their best and doing what they are good at which is racing and generally the photos and videos coming back to us are good. This is how much it costs to be in the WRC unfortunately so the discussion around whether our blockchain benefits from it is the argument. The ROI from the rally car can be argued until the cows come home and whether we are benefitting from it at all.

I spoke in July around the Community Wells Project and asked some questions around why the price of building a well increased by 234% from well 1 to well 16 two years later but @mcsamm must have been too busy to come back to me. Also, the question is whether his travel from the UK to Africa is included in the wells building expenses?

Back to the Street Workout Funding

I asked the question in July around the considerable amount of merch that the @swc-oficial community were spending their funding on. Now some former members of the @swc-oficial came out and spoke out because they could see the amount of payouts that Valueplan were giving @swc-oficial. They basically claimed that an event could cost $900 easy and that the founder was pocketing the rest. They were put up in really bad accommodation at some events and had to pay for their own meals. They have set up a #stopswc tag on Hive to make people aware of what is going on. You can find the original posts here from @hecatonquirox.
A link to these posts:
NO MAS MENTIRAS Y PROBLEMAS || NO MORE LIES AND PROBLEMS. STOP SWC

SWC, we request a response: Was the money stolen or misappropriated? || Respondenos SWC

Most expensive arena in the history of Hive Blockchain. STOP SWC

This started off a number of follow up posts by a number of former members of the @swc-oficial

Te explico por qué Street Workout Community es un asco || Here's why the Street Workout Community sucks. STOP SWC

El problema de alguien malicioso recibiendo mucho dinero || The problem of someone malicious receiving a lot of money

You will get the gist of these posts once you read them but what the basic allegations are that the money going to @swc-oficial for events are not actually going on the events.
I listened to the hour long video from @hecatonquirox and it was really interesting to get a grasp on the workings of SWC. He explained in the video that he had first met the founder of SWC Manuel Ramos in a luxury hotel to become a moderator of the Street Workout Crew. @hecatonquirox said he found it strange that Manuel was willing to travel a long distance and stay at a luxury hotel just to appoint him a moderator. He then allegedly went on to slag off the Hive Community as being mad and @hecatonquirox were surprised at this. He then alleged that Manuel did not have a job but was able to buy a new motorbike , go on trips etc.
Now point to note this is just one side of the story and I have yet to hear from the @swc-oficial guys from last month so at the moment it is only one side. When it comes to big money , arguments tend to happen which is what happened here but it is important to hear the other side of the story as well but for now it is silent and funding is still ongoing.

I was amazed to see in July this payment to the Street Workout Group which was paid out by Valueplan before the shit hit the proverbial fan.

The annual medical provisions bulk order for 2428.00 HBD which translates to the same amount in $USD.

Screenshot 2024-09-05 135416.jpg
Now @hecatonquirox filled me in around the price of various items in his country , I found that this payout seems enormous for what essentially is a first aid kit! What is included in these provisions?? Plasters? Bandages? Stretchers? An ambulance on standby?? A doctor on retainer?? A plastic surgeon maybe?

Could we get a description or a list of each product on this order please? Maybe an invoice around what the Hive Community paid for here so we can begin to comprehend what this payment is about. I think we deserve to know why we are spending $2348 in on medical provisions in a developing country where things are inexpensive compared to Europe and the States. In Europe while playing sport , a person can apply first aid if there is a small knock or injury to an injured athlete. I asked my neighbour who is a sports physiotherapist around this and she told me anything more a bump or a knock such as a bone break or tendon/ ligament damage and it is straight to the hospital for treatment. There is only so much first aid can do. A quick check on Amazon and a fair substantial first aid kit with 330 pieces is setting you back $45.99.

Source
I would put this into the "Absolutely Taking the piss" bracket but I would need to see the invoice or receipt around what was paid for here. I have tagged the Street Workout Community for a number of months now with questions and the silence is deafening. So unless there are answers I presume there are some grounds for the allegations linked above.

From the approval side it is hard to question the project managers as they have more information on the expense that I do not have the information so I would ask them why it was approved?, before anyone starts to point fingers. The project managers have taken a considerable knock to their reputation being associated with Valueplan but is the criticism warranted? Maybe if they gave out more info on some of these expenses we might get a clearer picture than to jump on the bandwagon claiming all sorts of things such as extreme naivety or funding their mates for approving such funding.

Augusts Numbers

So below are the totals by user in August. There was a total of 18 users paid out. The most being $68,998.85 to @lordbutterfly in August. There is a mixture of projects here such as Hivefest and 27,332.00 HBD for a blockchain expo in Santa Clara and Amsterdam, 141,243.00 Hive was used to pay the remainder of the venue for Hivefest also.

Blockchain summit take the Number 2 spot with $20,200 paid out to this account for a blockchain summit in Bogota Colombia. This account has 0 followers or 0 following and 0 account value so if you could let us know who is behind this it would be great but I have a feeling I know who it is. Lucky number....... in the rankings but you wil have to make that out yourself. Lets move on!!

We have @mcsamm at number 4 with his usual jet setting. There seems to be flight changes here or missed tickets. Not sure what is going on but what we do know is that the wells are now costing over $8,000.00 to complete. A dam sight more than your $4,525 for a well in April 2022. The joys of inflation.

In at number 4 is @blackheart1 who I have down for hackathons He is flying up the Valieplan rankings with the funding received. He spent most of August holding Investor Meetups which cost us a fair few bucks. How did these go @blackheart1 . We have not had a Hive post from you since February 2023. Would you care to enlighten us how these investor meetings went? Were you successful? How many investors actually invested? How is the Finfarm doing and what is the story with the Sinusoid sponsorship? What is it? We would be interested to know!

The rally car has its first funding since April. They have been funded $10,000 for the Greek WRC.
Then we have the Hivestudentshub and our friend @arlettemsalase (who was mentioned in one of those GYM Street Workout videos for some reason 🤔).
The rest are small enough under $5,000.

Below is the breakdown if you are interested. Don't mind the colour coding. It just makes it easier for me to add things up.

Breakdown

Point to note there was the old annual error paying the rally car guys HBD rather than Hive in August but it was refunded immediately which was good.
Also @hivecuba paid back funds not spent to valueplan which is a great sign of honesty in my opinion.
In total $152,441.01 was spent in August which is a huge amount of Hive being sold on the market. Thankfully the gang at Splinterlands DAO has been buying up a large amount of Hive so to not fall fowl of the old return proposal ever again so the effect on the price is not as bad but we are still sitting at around 16 cent at time of writing we maybe need to tighten our belts.

So there you have it. I will post the YTD in a separate post.

Sort:

"Hive does need a marketing arm and people running the marketing arm."

I disagree. Hive (actually Steem at the time) grew fastest in 2017, and organic word of mouth by users on the platform built on folks finding our content via searching for granny's sausage recipes, or blockchain, or whatever, was what drove that growth. This is why the flaggotry defunding content creators that are posting about raising ducks, or grandma's electrolysis tribulations, is completely bass ackwards. If those creators got much in the way of rewards they'd brag us up like Chad's GF. We have a marketing department comprised of every author's posts. From photography, travel, gardening, and the broad plethora of mundane and general interest posts that would turn up in searches on topics non-users ran (back when search wasn't simply a list of paid advertisers on Goolag, and was the result of scraping the net for query responses), our content was, and remains, our marketing department. The market for new users isn't searching for Hive development info, or posts touting Hive. When our content turns up in searches for homeschooling, crafting, gardening or whatever they search for, that is how the platform is marketed, when such searchers see those posts getting compensated. That's why more than 1m folks came here and climbed the learning curve after April 2017.

The real problem was never marketing. The real problem with growth here has always been user retention. Unrestrained taxation easily blows users off the platform. Every Hive user can tax any content to the limit of their stake, because that's exactly what DV's are. >1m organic users were driven from the platform via DV's flatlining their rewards between 2017 and 2020 by whales disapproving of posters that made newbie mistakes and taxing the creators 100% of their rewards forever, and the only way to end the taxation was to 1) beg them to stop, and 2) perform whatever penitence they demanded while the penitent was ridiculed and derided, such as publishing a post a day for a year while declining rewards. All of that ridiculing and demanding was done on Discord where we don't see it and it isn't on the blockchain (which is why I refuse to use Discord. Sting exists and isn't used for such purposes because it eliminates that obfuscation). Lots of folks came here and published just like they did on other platforms (but flaggots suppressed posting to multiple platforms undertaken by ambitious bloggers, who if they had gotten more rewards here, would have ceased bothering with lesser platforms. Flagging them was the absolute opposite of the right thing to do to market Hive), but instead of being paid for their posts about mom's Sunday dinners, they were taxed 100% of their rewards, offended, insulted, and driven away.

There isn't a social media platform with user retention as abysmal as ours (or Steem's, our progenitor), and unrestrained taxation for things other than spam, scams, and constant, repeated, actual plagiarism is why. Flagging an offending post with an explanation is fine. Flagging an account into dust forever, which continues today, if the creator doesn't grovel before the oligarchical overlords and submit to their overweening demands, is platform suicide. We don't need a marketing department, plan, or any effort at all to market Hive. Our content and compensation does that. We just need rational code that keeps malevolent whales from flagging everyone and their mother off the platform by taxing their rewards to zero forever for any opinion that isn't 100% Hive development or pandering, reposting their old content to keep it evergreen, or myriad other sins the Lords of Hive disdain. While we have been eradicating our marketing department via punitive 100% taxation of content, social media has become the largest sector of global markets.

There's no way doing the exact opposite of rational platform building during the boom of social media is stupidity, or even insanity. This is a deliberate, well executed effort to keep the platform from growing (Hive had to be really bad to be worse for bloggers than Fakebook or Twatter), from presenting an attractive investment to outside money, because Hive is a pure plutocracy, and we see what attracting the attention of investing sharks does to the tiny whales in our itsy bitsy pond when we look at what happened to Steem. That's the inevitable fate of plutocracy: the richest investor(s) eventually own it and govern it as they please. That's Hive today, and they only keep that pipeline to themselves by discouraging IRL investors from outstaking them and seizing control of the witnesses. All it takes is more money than our puny whales have in staked Hive.

Laying waste to the Founder's stake that has become the DHF is the end game, sucking all the cash on hand out of the platform and sending token value to zero before abandoning it like Golos before it. Looks like Valueplan is an integral part of that end game to me. It's like Bain Capital's rescue plans for it's investment vehicles and KKR's business model. Sell off the tooling, real property, and assets. Take the cash and move on when your controlling interest no longer has substantial value.

The entire capitalization of Hive is lunch money for substantial capital IRL. Sun Yuchen picked up Steem and he's a very minor shark in the global market, the bottom of the billionaire barrel. Musk paid ~$44B for Twatter, and Hive is orders of magnitude smaller, easy pickings for Warren Buffet, who's sitting on hundreds of $B's in cash hunting opportunities right now. The only thing keeping outside investors from doing to Hive what Sun Yuchen did to Steem is it's atrocious metrics as an investment vehicle, which is the result solely of the unrestrained taxation inflicted on content creators by the oligarchy currently ruling our pocket plutocracy.

"The rest are small enough under $5,000."

Just like corruption in any government, enough nibbling by ducks makes a big bite at the end of the month, and only minor efforts at obscuring accounting enables quid pro quos and kickbacks to be overly tedious for inquiring accountants to uncover. There's simply no real accounting for DHF expenditures, and that's basically a neon sign blaring 'Kickbacks' 24/7. The athletes in SWC, the rally car drivers, the tireless presenters at fora, these folks aren't the problem, they aren't bringing in investors, but they're not the reason funds are hemorrhaging out of DHF. The real problem is the substantially staked voters that approved Valueplan and other DHF proposals without any requirement of nominal accounting, because that is how they're looting the DHF. There's a couple dozen whales, and their stake outvotes the rest of Hive. The Hive oligarchs that put Valueplan over the return proposal knew what they were doing, and now we are slowly grasping what they were doing thanks to @hecatonquirox and @atlashv96 sacrificing their financial salvation in the economic hellhole that is Venezuela because they are morally incapable of tolerating that corruption.

The oligarchy are mining the DHF, and when it's mined out, they're off to the next opportunity, leaving Hive a withered husk. Until Hive isn't a plutocracy, we can't do a damn thing about it.

Thanks!

You make some great points in this thread! !PIMP

The end game of all the Larimer projects I guess. Lol

This comment requires a very deep knowledge about Hive and how it works and it is very plausible, because after the responses of @guiltyparties we have received on our posts, we passed from thinking he was being deceived, to think he is a complete accomplice of what happens with SWC. Our goal is to #stopswc because we where victims of it and several other athletes are being cheated right now, so if on the way a whale must fall, we will aim to it.

Being asked to post on Hive as part of promotional project does not make you a victim.

Being asked to post isn't cheating him. Answer the charges he makes, of VP funds being pocketed by thieves by fraud. Produce receipts for the purchases that prove money wasn't stolen by Manuel Ramos as has directly been stated.

"Valueplan no longer sending HBD to marscrea but still supporting SWC through swc-oficial, swc-oficial is an account created by Manuel Ramos but now owned by swc-recupera, swc-recupera is an account created 24 days ago by aliento and I suppose owned by aliento, aliento is an account owned by Eddiespino and theycallmedan, theycallmedan one of the keyholders of valueplan.
All this with the coincidence that at same time, Manuel Ramos and his secondary accounts (or at least some of them) are in powerdown mode with the Withdraw Vesting Route to Eddiespino."

So, DHF funds are sent to SWC accounts held by eddiespino and theycallmedan, and Manuel Ramos's accounts are powering down to eddiespino, according to @doze.

https://peakd.com/swc/@doze/street-workout-community

What's with the roundabout back to VP keyholders? @markymark are you sniffing what I'm smelling?

Let's see the receipt for sand used to stabilize bars for which 500 HBD was disbursed to Manuel Ramos's @marscrea account but which @hecatonquirox says came from Manuel's home, where @hecatonquirox filled sandbags.

https://peakd.com/stopswc/@hecatonquirox/most-expensive-arena-in-the-history-of-hive-blockchain-stop-swc

Let's see the receipts.

Being asked to post isn't cheating him. Answer the charges he makes, of VP funds being pocketed by thieves by fraud. Produce receipts for the purchases that prove money wasn't stolen by Manuel Ramos.

"...a scam project, that scams the users of Hive..."

Is the direct statement of SWC participant @hecatonquirox. It isn't about onboarding or retention. It's not about Hive posts. It's about theft by fraud.

Let's see receipts for SWC expenditures. Prove these posters that demonstrate knowledge of SWC operations are wrong that Hive is being scammed. All it takes is receipts for the expenditures of ~$155k, which any honest manager would have.

I agree with you, we want the evidence. Guiltyparties seems to be very good at rhetoric, lying and beating around the bush, he should start a political career, he is good at it.

I say it again so it is understood, we are asking to disprove that those screenshots I showed in my posts, which show both an official bank of Venezuela, as well as, transfers with absurd memos destined to the swc-official account and Manuel Ramos are false. If they do not want to do it, if they do not want to show them, I mean their payment vouchers and invoices, it is because they are perpetuating a fraud to Hive that they are trying to silence. Days go by and they show nothing. The silence speaks for them.

I just want to say that neither Eddi Espino nor the guys from Aliento have anything to do with all this shit. I can say that, because Manuel is very skilled at fighting with everyone in Hive. In the beginning Espino was very supportive I think in the healing, same thing OCD. But when they realized that something smelled bad they decided to step aside. This is the information I have. Which indicates that the only one responsible for this money leaking out is Guiltyparties. Already said it @ATLASHV96, at first we thought he's just an old fool managing the money, but at this point I'm starting to believe he's Manuel's accomplice, that alone would explain his unconditional support, which is costing him reputation in Hive, and he doesn't seem to give a shit. Then let him at least be dignified and respond with evidence. Because assuming he is just mismanaging things, then we should rethink his role in blockchain and Valueplan, all of us. On the other hand, if he's stealing money with Manuel, let him bear the cost of his sin, like the persuasive politician he's trying to emulate.

I agree. I am done with my questioning from the perspective of a Hive user concerned about allegations of fraud regarding funds I have stake in. I have asked for receipts dozens of times, and he has flat refused to provide them to me for expenditures of my money.

It is time for law enforcement to step in, and he can try to hide receipts from them at his peril. Given the interest of the US federal government in US funds going to Venezuela, he may be lucky to stay out of Gitmo if he cannot prove his innocence to partisans in the State Department. That is out of my hands by his choice.

I deeply appreciate you and the others that have brought these intolerable practices to our attention. It has come at a cost to you of funds and other things that are far more valuable in Venezuela than elsewhere. There isn't anything I can do for you other than express my gratitude for your moral courage and hard work to make this known in English, a foreign language. I am deeply grateful, and I know others are too.

Thanks!

Your opinion was a light among so much bullshit. We know there are a lot of good people wanting things to change, but it is not in their hands, it is in the hands of the powerful in Hive to make Hive a better place, but with things like this, all the good work they can do, is undermined, and goes to shit, if I had large sums of money I would think twice before joining Hive. That's the serious thing about all this, this affects all of us, the average user and the investors with large capitals.

Maybe when some whale is interested in things changing, they will change. But the sad reality is that the bigwigs don't seem to give a shit about the lack of ethics in accounting and management. It doesn't explain why Guiltyparties is still in the lead as Valueplan's key holder. Maybe his influence is too big, that didn't stop us from telling him the truth to his face. Even if it wasn't pleasant for him.

I understand that someone has told you and others that you will get something, such as curation, by making all these claims, and I will find that person. I'm not against you or the other guys from Zulia but that individual is a different matter. The curators don't play these games either.

You're wrong, if we ever get curation at Hive Calisthenics it will be on our own merits, and our value proposition to the ecosystem, maybe following the rules that curation programs ask for. Don't worry about us, we are working hard for it. Worry about showing the evidence you haven't given after 15 days of this scandal. You owe Hive a lot of answers. I insist, you are irresponsible, but now I think you are manipulative and rhetorical on top of that. Consider retiring soon.

An individual who has personal issues with Manuel and who for some reason is very interested in keeping Hive funds safe a very, very long time after the original disagreement and at the same time, a person who to my knowledge never had any insight into the spending line items save for being asked to help source a few things locally, has very limited credibility. I'm not sure what has transpired in the Zulia area for people to suddenly be convinced that wasting everyone's time will somehow lead for something for them but I will find out.

No receipts from any activities in Venezuela or Venezuelan organizers will ever be posted online for safety reasons of the individuals and of the businesses. There are several countries we can't do this for. This has been the case the entire time and the only times we have ever shared photos is when the receipts themselves were unreadable. The only exceptions we have for this are goods and services paid directly through HBD.

First, none of the extraneous information you mention has any relevance to your fiduciary responsibility to account for the large sums of money you administer. Drop it, and stick to your knitting.

Second, there is no security risk in providing receipts, and that line is complete bullshit. I am offended you attempt such blatant manipulation regarding the normal operations of commercial enterprises that provide receipts to customers for the very purpose of accounting. That's a load of crap, even in Venezuela.

I have no confidence in your management of VP funds based on your attempts to divert the attention of Hive users from these accusations of blatant fraud and failing to make the slightest effort to actually prove the accusations false. You have undertaken at every opportunity to facilitate the continuation of any fraud and theft of funds that is ongoing. I have spent enough time allowing you to either disprove you and others are participating in the theft of funds being accused, or wrap the rope around your neck, and you have taken the latter course.

You can tell me whatever you want. You will not be so glib with law enforcement, which I am confident is about to get all up in your business. You will show them receipts, or take the fall.

Good luck with that.

Your opinion is just your opinion. No one is going to change the best practices that are supported by research and regional expertise just because you said so in a knee-jerk reaction to some random accusations, which I already explained a hundred times. Just like how no one will equate flagging to taxation.

Wow! What a comment @valued-customer. A lot to pick through here. I can’t even begin to reply here . I don’t think I am educated enough around the whole thing . I do tend to agree with you around if we need a marketing arm. Maybe a fund for organising the likes of Hivefest and dealing with exchanges . How was that done on Steem back in the day? but then I think would this become just the same. I don’t know the answer . I had a job once sourcing materials and I was given a carte blanche on spending . Middle Eastern jobbie. Now I work for a family who want be to source similar materials but at the best price. It was a massive learning curve for me and dealing in a world of kick backs and bribes it was very interesting but I’m paid well so it’s not in my interests . My whole reasoning for this post is I can see we are being made a fool of . Now this is not the fault of the project managers . These guys are probably all devs earning nice money so they don’t think twice about giving a user 6k for merch for an event. I’d be sacked if I approved a contractor 6k for merch for an event. Anyway I’m rambling. I appreciate your excellent comment and I am concerned about your synopsis . But I have to say . We are likely to go the way that you are predicting than to the moon. Buffett wouldn’t touch crypto. Maybe he’s right.

"...Hivefest and dealing with exchanges..."

These aren't so much marketing Hive to new users, as they are encouraging retention of users by the celebrations of Hive at Hivefest, and enabling ramps to fiat for their use.

Now I understand the meaning of your Hive moniker. You have experience dealing with kickbacks through your jobbing with carte blanche, where that is often the difference between getting the necessities or not. Sometimes you just need to grease the skids that the stuff they need brings to the client.

I deeply appreciate your restrained approach to bringing this matter to our attention.

Thanks!

  1. perform whatever penitence they demanded while the penitent was ridiculed and derided, such as publishing a post a day for a year while declining rewards. All of that ridiculing and demanding was done on Discord where we don't see it and it isn't on the blockchain

Yeah, I don't get this. It's a horrible oppressive way to treat people and an embarrassment to everyone on Hive.

My guess is they were stuck with a task unnatural to their instincts as investors, and did the best they could to have fun with it, like CIA agents torturing ppl who they knew damn well weren't spies or rebels because they were tasked with creating spies and rebels, which torturing people makes copiously.

Thanks!

Hive is a blockchain with social dapps that are 15 years out of date in an industry that already has the demand for a app to talk crypto satisfied with Twitter.

Blogging needs to die, dapps need to modernize, onboarding needs to be fixed, all dapps need an algo similar to twitter.

Theres your solutions. None of it has to do with downvoting. Its silly to even claim that. Removing downvoting would fix absolutely nothing.

While you deny taxation drove people from Hive, you fail to note that social media is the largest sector in the global financial markets, and that has happened as this platform has failed to grow by paying people to use social media because they were taxed unrestrainedly here and that made Twatter less unfair.

I never suggested removing DV's. They are necessary to prevent spam, scams, and plagiarism, because they work to stop people from posting those things just as well as they do to stop people posting anything worthwhile.

You don't seem to like Hive much for being our Hivefest guy. You sure you're up for the job?

Just noticed this comment. The opening statement I agree with, the rest is here's what my thoughts are:

You missed what the guys were actually saying: Hive wasn't able to deliver social impact in their case because Hive depends on the markets. That's the entire point of discontent and why there's allegations and all the problems going around. It goes back to your general content creator argument. Content creators need to be rewarded and currently there are only a few curation projects. The question is, are we onboarding people with false expectations? Is our platform not suitable for youth?

The content creators you described are blogging adults who already enjoy writing and we know that these people are our age. They're not youth (some of who equated being asked to post as part of their own project with abuse), and they're not leading the adoption of new tech, which Hive technically is. The numbers of these people will decrease over time. Flagging isn't the main issue; the main issue is perception. Flagging isn't a huge of a problem as it may seem unless its flagging for diverging opinions; let's say over political matters. Social media and writings of every kind are becoming increasingly weaponized. We see it here with all the bs being spread in order to create hysteria, but its far more prominent on mainstream social media. No one writes to share information anymore. Everything is botted to all hell.

What's driving people off isn't the flags but the fact that someone can work on a post, spend hours, and not receive anything tangible. We had people tell us they couldn't afford to blog -- they couldn't afford the data costs. They can't afford to eat so how can they afford data. We have an over-reliance on trails, overworked curators, and the perception that content creators are leeches. When curators are paid they're also leeches. No matter what you do you're screwed. But these content creators are like I said, people who want to write, and that puts them within a specific segment of the population. But that segment of the population is working multiple jobs to provide for their families and we can't reward them.

Further, and this is VP related, the scope had to be written in such a way as to prevent opportunistic long-term Hive members who have a sizable non-Hive social media presence from trying to get paid out of VP to talk about Hive or even link to their Hive profiles. This was a problem to the point it had to be written in at the start, because it happened in the pre-VP days. That is just pathetic. Many people promote Hive willingly because they love Hive but many only see money.

This is a general onboarding and retention discussion. It's not a DHF discussion, it's pure onboarding and retention.

"Hive wasn't able to deliver social impact in their case because Hive depends on the markets."

Well, let me quote a few of them, and see if that's what they said.

"...above all it's very sad seeing so little information on how that money are being spent."--@arc7icwolf

"Questions are being asked and if they are not being answered there is a reason for that."--@cryptoandcoffee

"...no accountability for what happens to the money."--@hetty-rowan

And I have asked to see the receipts.

"It's not a DHF discussion..."

You are not responding to these comments.

Yesterday you said '...every activity has a detailed budget plan with every single item priced out and accounted for.'

That isn't double entry bookkeeping, but a plan for promotions. We are demanding receipts. The books showing where each expenditure went and what it went for. Accusations are being made of corruption, of money being stolen by fraud, on your watch. That's what bookkeeping is for, to prove where money is spent and into which pockets it didn't go.

Produce the receipts.

The ones I raised I have serious concerns over and if It was a business those people would have been fired. I do not blame GP for what has happened as they have taken advantage of him and is caught up in this. I know if I flew in and visited these projects there would be a clear picture shown.

I cannot agree regarding GP, but it is expected that honest people will be able to disagree and yet work together on the things they agree about. I appreciate your forthright comments. GP has purposed to deceive, refuses to provide receipts and has deflected from direct accusations against recipients of Hive funds instead of responding to those accusations with probative evidence. Since we cannot here compel discovery of evidence, the matter is certainly in the hands of those that can, only a visit to tips.fbi.gov away.

What angers me about that worse than even the fraud and deception, is the consequences of law enforcement digging into Hive's books, in the state they're in, could well destroy Hive. I have never been closer to rage quitting, TBH.

Raising awareness is always a good thing.

We are currently making a website for Valueplan in React with complete metrics. So, hopefully, you would not have to depend on your Excel sheets to gather data for much longer. Complete is defined as which users and countries have the most process planners. It denotes those working in their respective countries to raise awareness about Hive. Please note that I said awareness, not onboarding.

From my understanding, the objective of valueplan has always been to raise awareness. This basically means that any and every "event" planned out by the process planners is responsible for running operations or at least supporting ongoing operations.

Now, here's the important part: @guiltyparties is answerable for everything to the hive denizens, not the process planners/volunteers. I do not like that, but I can understand his perspective, as there aren't many willing process planners, and there is no sense in driving people off.

Now, is there some degree of inefficiency? Yes. But this is bound to happen when a few project managers manage God knows how many projects.

We need to help where we can, however we can, for the good of the hive. I hope the website being made will raise awareness and expose any inconsistencies.

That said, 150k USD is less significant than the daily volume. Unfortunately, other bad actors in the space contribute to the bad price. But I am more interested in making products that will being new people to hive, than pointing them out (as that literally does no value addition)

I don't agree that people that are funded have to hide behind the project managers when asked for comment. It seems @guiltyparties takes all the flack for this. Rather him than me. This way there is absolutely no responsibility by the project founders with large amounts of funding. If everything is correct and legitimate , and I was a person being funded , I would not only want to explain what the funds are for but I would be proud to do it. I think the project managers are being absolutely crucified by the way and I am wondering if they are not a wee bit miffed for being a shield defending some of these projects. They are definately miffed with me for posting the numbers but I would be going mad myself if I got a receipt in from my employees that was "colourful" and having to explain to my stakeholders why they spent money on such and such. I would tell them to explain it themselves. Why should I take the heat. You made your own bed so lie in it. I find it strange he doesn't do the same.

This is the hierarchy that GP has chosen to establish. He takes this and everything attached to it in a different seriousness than you or I would take.

I respect his dedication to it and following this feedback and awareness that you have given. I believe he will do what is best for all parties. I am holding him to that high of a standard. DO RIGHT BY EVERYONE. Not just the process planners or the numbers posters, or the naysayers.

Impossible to please everyone, but as I said I hold him to that standard.

I'm going to address this question in detail in the new proposal. They are basically not beneficiaries, they get nothing except a chance to support Hive through a project they're working hard on. The project managers are making the key decisions. I'm responsible for LATAM and I know every single project, how it did, what challenges it had, who the partners were, and so on, which is the bigger picture. It's also a matter of stress as many comments are just plain trolling for entertainment (thankfully none on this post yet). I've done this type of role for many years and while it's not easy, if its something I can do well I will contribute it.

Great report as usual. That bike shelter in Dublin was such a con job and I'm sure just the tip of the iceberg as to what is going on in the OPW (Office of Public Works) (I have seen other things).
When it comes to Hive all that you point out is very fishy and I am surprised that there is not a bigger uproar from the larger accounts. All may be legit but transparency is the least thing we should be getting when it comes to DHF funding.
I think it may be time to vote on the Return Proposal.

Yeah I am very surprised at this myself. Why some whales aren't going mad over it as they have more to lose than any of us. Also the fact that alot of the money is going to Venezuela is very strange. They have more blockchain conferences down there than I had hot dinners

Thanks for this amazing job @blanchy

People tagged in this post, specially venezuelan guys/gals and @swc-oficial and @arlettemsalase

Please, respond.

They never seem to do . Cheers @empoderat I am a big fan of your work. Thanks for the follow. Part ii is up now.

Pleasure is mine.

I'm trying to get some light regarding all of these issues.

I don't want to prejudge, much less discredit the work of others, but it touches my morale enormously that people with whom I share culture and roots are curiously always the first to be the first to dip into everyone's money.

If there is nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of, I don't understand why there isn't much more information shared publicly.

If I could and/or if it were in my power I would immediately cut off 90% of Valueplan's funding until clear accounts are obtained.

and the same with other proposals in the DHF but the problem is nowhere near what is happening with VP.

If in doubt, I am in favour of not funding.

I would have a strict iron fist before releasing a single HBD to anyone, let alone with accounts that after being here for YEARS have barely $100-200 in account.

Whatever, I'll keep pushing

Have a great day and thanks again sir.

The individual project organizers shouldn't be asked to respond as that is my job. They are facilitators of Hive participation in events, conferences, and various promotional opportunities. They are not beneficiaries as other DHF projects are. They are volunteers. VP doesn't have staff salaries. VP does have over 200 people who contribute to the success of Hive physical and digital events.

The reason there is a limit to public disclosure is simply because my time is divided between VP, day to day Hive admin, HW phishing scope, tech/infrastructure and a lot of impromptu tasks. I can commit to work on getting more info out there and better explain things, but it's a matter of time allocation.

Why do we even need valueplan when we got the DHF? Seems redundant. And if it was all voted for on the DHF then it's much more transparent.

I totally agree.

😂

Thank you for mentioning our posts. Also thanks for clarifying that we want to hear the Street Workout Community's side, that the fair and transparent thing to do is to have both sides, and that way, everyone at Hive can objectively state a position.

In our case, we are demanding the evidence that proves that what I say is more than garbage. Let them show invoices, or let silence reign. It's their choice.

For the sake of the post I have to take a neutral stance but things don't look good in my opinion. For a while now I have been investigating the SWC as some of the costs for hosting these events were well over the top so some of the things you were saying in your video made sense to me and there was more going on that meets the eye. You talked about grading in your video. Silver member and gold member. What does this mean? Is there money involved in this?

I was talking about the SWC membership system. I know, it sounds weird. Basically, through this system they give away the benefits for being in the community (crappy uniforms, sports supplements that don't exist, being able to travel in a crappy bus to participate in the events and compete, staying in crappy hotels while that happens). You can check it out on the street workout community or on the swc-curation account. In the posts called “integration and activity stats”. Hopefully you won't fall asleep in the process.

Manuel came to Zulia, and I guess he does the same in other places, he said that through this system they deliver part of the benefits that athletes receive for being part of SWC. But they steal so much, that this never becomes a reality, for example, you saw how much they were given for the uniforms right? Well, we never received that garbage in Zulia. Despite being in the membership for many months. But they are so horrible that I think we were actually lucky not to have received them.

If you post a lot on Hive, you are in the gold membership, if you post little you will go down the scale of shitty benefits. There are minors posting as if the world was going to end, just to receive junk incentives, nobody forces them, but they are persuaded to do it, since they all want to go to the events to feel that they live and enjoy calisthenics as in other places in the world (Venezuela does not have the conditions to celebrate the same, so they take advantage of that reality). They take advantage of the needs of the athletes. We might think that it is good that they publish, but this is not true, because SWC has created a very bad reputation so there are no curators interested in rewarding community members anymore. They publish so Manuel and his mother can fatten their pockets.

How could they be stealing? I said it in my video, events don't cost that kind of money. They ask for more than what it costs and from Valueplan they send it to them, without asking them for official invoices to verify the costs. I can say this because for the Zulia event, Manuel never asked me for a single invoice. They don't seem to care, I think it is easier to perpetrate the theft.

As for the designs, Victor makes any stupid thing in Canva or IA, and they pay for it. They are bad designs, but that doesn't seem to matter much, neither that he is not a licensed or certified designer by some institute. Now it seems he's also good at riding a bike, and Guiltiparties sends him money. I know it's something that causes you interest, but I don't have any info on that, I just know he's a crappy designer, and hopefully he reads this comment and sees that I make fun of his crap designs.

You are brave doing this kind of post. After all, the money comes from DHF, and all of us users deserve to know what happens with the projects. To have an objective view and decide if they are worth supporting or not. If you ask me, with SWC we should have a bonfire. But @guiltyparties doesn't seem to give a shit what users think. Several people have criticized SWC, but he defends his little buddy, and I guess us down here can't do anything to change that. Just cause him a few laughs with this kind of comments.

I'm just revealing the facts that I see from the Valueplan wallet @hecatonquirox so downvoting facts would not be in anyone's best interests. Cheers for the detailed answer. The above is very interesting. So I guess my question in July around why so much merch last YTD is actually the merch that is being given to the community to make posts. This is amazing!!! Wait until @splinterlands and @leofinance hear about this. They can start giving t-shirts out to premium @leofinance members and maybe anyone that posts a Splinterlands tweet will receive a bobblehead Haunted Spirit! If SWC can do tiered membership backed by Valueplan funding then why can't the largest communities?

Everything is crappy according to this. Hive merch, the events, the bus, the food, designs, everything that could be included is crappy. Meanwhile I have more complaints about your rants in a week than I had about SWC in years. I understand that the situation right now in VZ is very bad, prices are up. I also understand that Zulia activities had to be halted due to the location. This happened a long time ago. Other parts of the world also had activities that could not continue. SWC had no control over any of this. It is a strategic decision that was mostly based on non-Hive influences, such as conference sponsors. Insulting people is immature. It's not going to lead to a big project in Zulia.

You are a liar, you lie to protect your little friend. Don't talk about strategy or nonsense, Zulia is perhaps the most commercial state in Venezuela. But what do you know, you don't care about that, you are only interested in protecting Manuel's delinquent. Which makes you guilty too. You are corrupt, do whatever you want, I am not interested. But I tell you the truth, you are guilty of the exploitation of minors, of the corruption that these guys commit and you don't want to do anything. Let Hive know, whether you like it or not, you corrupt piece of shit.

I know how Zulia did and you put the nail in its coffin yourself with all these crap accusations and threats. We don't hold events where there's a potential threat to Hivers. You can keep whining or you can man up and get over it.

Say what you want, but you are incapable of refuting my evidence. Do you know why you don't? Because of your corrupt nepotism where you try to defend lying thieves. I don't care about your money, you think I do this for money? You don't have a clue. I am content for everyone to see it on Hive. Use your influence as you wish, but you can't hide the reality, SWC is a failed project, your projects fail flaming witness Guiltyparties. The price of Hive keeps going down, because of incompetents like you.

It is up to you if you decide to persevere in the error.

Happy you keeping this going as we rightfully deserve answers where and how the HIVE is being spent. All we ask for is accountability and the community can decide after hearing from those involved. Like you and many others the concerns are valid as there are some projects that do not add up.

Yeah I agree. It's just too much money for an update every quarter,

would like to see a Discord meeting set up with the projects funded and even the project managers that approved them to answer questions on some of the spending

👍

The lack of argument on the @swc-oficial side is the answer everyone must see here, it proves that @valueplan money has been being used for filling the pockets of some few.

I am still waiting @atlashv96 .

Dang, those numbers are staggering!

Wait until you see the YTD post. That was only for August. So this is why I think Hive is going to 5 cent as opposed to $1. Too much drain on our resources for a blockchain that is 343th on Coin Market Cap. And if things get too hot all these projects have to do is close their laptop and it all goes away.

Yeah, that is too bad. I never realized the numbers were that large. I knew money was going out, but nothing like that!

I thought the street workout gang might get a mention and rightfully so. It seems very suspicious but without the detail we are in the dark. I do hope they grace us with a response.
but I doubt it 🤣🤣

You should form one with El Jefe. I'd send you the funding myself!! 😃

I think we could happily spend some of them sweet fires on Hive initiatives... 😀😀

Thanks for the report. It will be interesting to see how things evolve in the next months, hopefully the price of Hive will go up or the DHF will overtake author and curation rewards combined.. it is already higher than them both individually...

Haha I say "alot of bunst" to the missus and she doesn't have a clue what I am talking about. Jesus @mypathoffire. First Eileen and now Gervais quotes. Where have you been all my life. 😂. Why would I write a post if I am being handed 5k every month. If you go through the ranking and check the dates of their posts. Some don't have a post since they applied for funding. And I understand why!

100%. Life is good if you are an insider. We are already past the tipping point I think, quite a lot of people are going to get rekt on Hive, the HP and HBD holders will go down together very quickly. The big HBD holders are already trapped and probably cant get out due to lack of liquidity on the internal market and it would crash the price hard large sell orders. They will hope that the peg holds, but it wont.

The monthly DHF + HBD interest surpasses the curation and author rewards for HP holders, so things are speeding up with fast dilution of equity. Inflation was ~18% annualised in August... lets see September!

Crikey that is interesting yet worrying. Back to writing my 5 cent rewards posts in 2025 then.

Only an good alt season might save us.

Thank you for keeping tabs

You did a lot of work to make your post but its simply inaccurate. I sent you a Discord message.

Why not a public respond? Don't the rest of hive stakers deserve to know?

He's misreading the transactions, it's an honest mistake, not some great point of disclosure. The guy spends considerable time making reports, may as well make them correctly.

Hi @guiltyparties . Not really a fan of DMs on Discord . All figures were taken from Valueplan wallets. What’s simply inaccurate? Is there an error in a figures ? Granted with the infrequent occasion Valueplan fund in liquid Hive price rather than HBD I have to take an average price over the entire month so I cannot be 100% accurate here. The only users funded with Hive rather than HBD is the rally car and @lordbutterfly for Hivefest. I take it the rally car was funded $10,000 this month. I think I’ve down 10008.00? Anyway let me know if you found any calculation errors . Cheers!

Doesn't have to be Discord. You know we also have a DHF chat channel on Open Hive. It's connected to the dev chat one. Take a look straight from hive.blog.

It's just a matter of understanding what the memo items actually are and how they become mentioned. Let's take the medical one. That's actually an industrial order of paramedic-grade supplies, which is annual. It's about 40% of its original cost. It's not a kit with bandaids. It's specific to VZ because of shortages in their public/private health system. The merch items are all large volume for any activity. The only place we do get great deals is India because they can be manufactured locally, everything else has shipping factored in.

Ok il have a look @guiltyparties . Cheers. Im going off the memo on the description. it’s all I have to go on . I’m not buying this industrial paramedic grade supplies. My background is sourcing items , tenders , contract management . I have experience sourcing medical supplies. Granted , Paramedic grade is the good stuff, top of the range but it is still essentially a top of the range first aid kit. How many injuries do these guys expect to have?? Unless there’s a purchase of a 2 x defibrillators in there I am still very wary about this one . If you can send me a list of items and what exactly was purchased please. You probably can’t but do you not find yourself that this one looks over the top? Did the Valueplan team source the medical supplies in India or @swc-oficial??

If you can help out with sourcing it would be much appreciated. I have the list of items and was looking for someone to give a hand with this, spoke to a few people already. We're getting to a point where I think we need to have a first response capability in countries aside from VZ, although relatively minor. For VZ we have a big problem with shipping things in, which affects all activities across the board. Let's talk this week about it, would appreciate your help.

@hecatonquirox you were on the ground at these events. Was there any evidence of high grade paramedic supplies in a bag such as the one attached when you attended events?
IMG_1848.jpeg

No, never. What is true is that a chiropractor is hired to attend the athletes after the events, not always, but I did witness it. In the case of Zulia, we are in charge of covering a paramedic endorsed by the city's fire department. We did not pay for that with Valueplan money. We felt it was important, but SWC doesn't take care of it more responsibly. You know, it's a risky sport, it's not to be taken lightly...but they take it lightly.

What I can tell you about is a more delicate matter. @Guiltyparties claims that we are just Zulia whiners criticizing their management, bad management. Let's humor the humble old man.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MhjBWo7K_WyzVxPvXbCNTO3s6_iZhKLL/view?usp=sharing

Below I attach a pdf titled “swc lies”. In it you will be able to read, in detail, a somewhat old SWC case. Where it is exposed how the self-styled CEO of that community steals the money that was sent to an athlete for his recovery and medical care, after he broke his arm. There are other cases exposed in the PDF, read them carefully. It was all narrated by the victim, I just got the document, I guess those guys think this is the opportunity to show it to everyone.

I don't know how much influence you have, but I ask you, if you can do it, try to show this information to more transparent and influential people than Guiltyparties on Hive. If you can't, I'll still settle for leaving it here in the comments of your article, for all concerned to see:

It seems like it's just me, you know? I guess it's because I'm so talkative, and because I'm really annoyed by all this crap. I admit it. But believe me when I tell you that, there is more than one user affected by the corruption of Manuel Ramos, sheltered by @guiltyparties.

I gain nothing from all this, I'm just exposing the truth, because it's the right thing to do. If they can prove that I have dark interests behind, let them prove it. Although at this point it is very difficult for them to prove something as simple as invoices. But well... the right thing to do is to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The argument that was about what is a small payment during a broken arm incident that we had no obligation to pay for in the first place and did so on compassionate grounds. This argument makes Manuel look great for doing the right thing. He recommended that we provide first aid support, which we never considered doing before, and did his best to support the athlete. His concern for the athletes led to medical supplies and insurance at future events. I talked to Luis myself after and he explained that a small payment for gas mattered due to his financial situation and about opportunities in general.

There is no purpose in your crusade here. Current and past athletes and general Hive community members are upset by your behavior and this ongoing nonsense. Your interpretation of events isn't some great discovery, it's just your opinion.

For you nothing is an argument. The point is to defend your little friend, even if it costs you reputation. Sadly, you're just exposing yourself. Of course Manuel is the best, he continues to launder money with him and others.
