I've been skeptical about torrenting ever since I first saw Comcast tighten the cords on torrenting by scanning traffic packets. But VPN's seem to do the trick for many people: torrents are still alive! However, this isn't about P2P file sharing - it's about the awesome addition of a new cryptocurrency to the P2P space.
How does BitTorrent's crypto work? It rewards seeders (people who share slices of files on the P2P network) with BTT. For people who want speed, they can spend BTT to get better download rates. How cool is that? And how practical too!
But what till you get a load of this. BTT is priced below .01 cent! That's right. If you see file sharing growing in the next 3 years, then Filecoin, BitTorrent BTT and all the rest of the file sharing network tokens and crypto will see a major boom.
(These are solely my opinions but I am positive that incentives for seeding torrents will cause this space to be very active, and the crypto to steadily or astronomically rise in price from 1 penny!)
Conclusion: It's on my watchlist!
