Mid October What's New With Hive

in LeoFinanceyesterday

Each week I like to go through and do a breakdown of the things I know about that are new with Hive. This ranges from new apps, app updates, blockchain updates and so forth.

As always let's start with price action and well this week has not been all that kind to hive. However if you look at the rest of the market being down the price action here is rather small.

I also have a interesting little chat about hive the other day. Where it's totally backwards in terms of how hive inflation is done. From how I understood it from the graphs is we pay out more hive as the price goes down. These seems so weird being that it would only constantly keep dragging down the price of hive as you're printing even more. Hopefully in the next hive meeting they work on correcting this. IMO it should just be a set amount each day so say 5,000 hive per day in the rewards pool that goes out to authors. We will have to see though.

Goals

$HIVE

Goal: 250,000 Current: 118,868

Week over week we added another 394 hive which is a little bit of a decline from the week prior of around 21 hive. That means we added a total of 56.2 hive per day that was powered up. This puts me a little over half way of where I want to be which is 100 hive powered up per day at the least.

HBD

HBD is not a focal point for me but it would still be nice to make a solid income off of the 15% APR. The issue is you'd have to have at least 60,000 HBD to really start to feel the interest but mostly upwards of 215,000 HBD which would net you that 100 HBD per day.

$LEO

Goal: 150,000 Current: 147,611

Week over week we added in another 358 LEO powered up. That puts me at just a hair over 51 per day which puts me well on track to hitting my goal by end of year.

I could very well quickly get to it but I hate the cool down times on the delegation as it normally is a 2 week cycle before I get it back. The only time I really do that now is if I'm leaving somewhere for a week or so and I know I could maybe not get all the voting in myself and I don't want to miss out on the rewards. The goal is to try and hit it by end of month but at current rate we are looking mid November.

InLeo also has a lot of competition now and without perks of using their platform I feel like they are only going to continue to move down. They really need to start building some revenue generation for the token because it's been in the dumps for a while now and not getting any better. My hopes for a $0.20 LEO again are almost out of my mind at this point.

Splinterlands

Alright well Splinterlands has been a little crazy again as of late. The DAO is legit being rapped lately and there's no real push to continue to build the coffers of the DAO and it feels like it's going to be doomed like the mismanagement of the company at this point. However I would love to be wrong and I would love for the DAO to start collecting interest on it's holdings.

That being said at the moment card prices and token prices have been fairing well. On top of that I've also started to gear up more lands as I'm now clearing three more plots.

It also seems like the DAO is going to pass for land building which means we should see a decently operational land come Q1 of 2025. A far cry from when we were suppose to get something. We have been running on grain, SPS and research for I believe almost two years or a year. I can't even keep track anymore.

More Hive isnt being paid out, but the HBD being sold creates more Hive on the market, thats why we have much higher inflation than planned.

Thanks for this clarification. I am surprised by the value of HIVE in the last year. Hive in a year has made -33%. But this was a year that for many cryptocurrencies was a year of growth, so it was not for HIVE. I am sorry for this. After your comment I understood better why the value of HIVE has not grown like other Alt Coins

Yes, the tokenomics of HBD have made holding Hive very unattractive. Unless this is reversed, Hive will continue to stagnate.

In my opinion putting interest in HBDs greater than HPs has not produced the hoped-for effects of attracting new users and part of the current HIVE price. There are several factors that influence the price of HIVE but finding more ways to incentivize people to accumulate HP in my opinion should be the priority.

As for your accumulation goals congratulations on your progress, you have a really important stake in HP and you are very close to your goal for LEO tokens.
