Is AI Back? Let's have a look Crypto edition

AI got a ton of buzz when ChatGPT released but since then there really hasn't been all that much happening at least IMO. We still have AI producing weird videos that don't look real (this could be a good thing so we can always detect what is fake) and some images which after about 10 prompts finally gives you something decent you were looking for.

Now I get it. Today right now is the worse AI will be it will only continue to get "better" but that better seems to be taking one hell of a long time compared to what people were saying.

I also don't believe that AI has replaced jobs. I think instead AI has advanced jobs. While people will say AI took their writing jobs the fact of the matter is those writings from AI are horrible and google will indeed slap those articles and put a flag on the domain that is publishing them.

Instead what someone in that field should have done was use AI to help them in structure, research etc to write even higher quality articles faster. But like with anything people get stuck in their ways and just want to continue to blame something for their own failure. Just look at history it's loaded with this!

AI Agents

Your basic AI looks something like this at the moment... Think of things like AI Image, audio or video generation. You input some data and that system produces a result.

AI agents have been a hot topic. Pretty much what they are are AI that are programmed to do a task with minimal input from the user. So the above can be used by the AI agents themselves and another big use case lately is to give these AI agents crypto wallets and let them run free. I've written about this a bit in the past.

Hedge funds is a big one right now that is gaining in popularity. There's a few versions of this happening right now.

The first is a DAO with funds in which people that invest hold governance tokens. That governance then votes on basic inputs and guidelines but the AI within it then acts on those commands given by the governance. This still has input from users (investors).

Now the more advanced side of this is buying a token and simply holding it because a AI agent is actively trading and working the token with the only goal in mind to make profits for those holding the token. Think of tokens like ai16z

Now this is rather interesting when you think about it. It's still in the very early phases and hasn't been running all that long so it's hard to tell if the AI would beat out something like a human managed fund or will the AI get it wrong? I'm sure the longer the AI runs the better it should be but what we are seeing right now is it tends to pretty much just follow the overall market it's not steady upwards at all.

Content Creators

Now a bigger case of this is AI content creators where the AI is give some funds and social media accounts to meme, build a community and promote/trade the meme token.

We have seen a few major successful runs of this already however there's honestly only so much money to go around and all of this is high speculation more then anything else.

Now other evolutions of these are ones that produce music, art, nfts etc. It makes for a rather interesting use case honestly but also we could see such a flood of just random content on the internet from these AIs that people just get sick of it or it just reduces other valued projects. Let's just put it this way there's going to be A LOT more STUFF.

Now a rather new implementation of this is what is know as a white hat hacker. These are people that go around and test systems to see if they can be hacked and if yes then they do little damage if any and show the company, person how to fix the venerability. Now in AI form this can be a great way to test your builds quickly or constantly test your systems to make sure old issues don't show up. This is one of the few AI cases I think that could be used heavily.

AI is amazing if well used. Just as the "Google it" usual saying is a good answer to many question. Thinking out of the box is the best way to gain more insight and not relate everything to google. As for AI it is just going to make some of the next generation non-intelligible and lazy
