The Internal Market on Hive: Challenges and Solutions

in LeoFinance5 months ago

Hello everyone, Bilal. While I was reading an article by @sanjeevm about his investment and trading in Hive and his future goals, my attention was drawn to a topic I find interesting and somewhat important: the problems of the internal market for Hive. It is certain that every person within the cell has goals and ambitions that they work towards, and it is undeniable that financial returns are important to each of us on our content. However, it is also necessary to consider how to invest those profits or obtain a stable, fixed income. Here we will reach the core of our topic. For example, if we assume that one of us has a reasonable amount of liquidity for Hive and its price suddenly rises, and he wants to convert it to HBD to benefit from the price increase, given that HBD is a stable currency, he will certainly resort to the internal market on Hive to sell his quantity of Hive and obtain HBD. Here, he will encounter problems in the internal market that will frustrate him somewhat, and I will explain to you:

  • The most prominent problem is the slowness of the execution of the transaction, which will cause him to miss out on the opportunity to increase.
  • Weak liquidity within the market, due to the small number of users. Somewhat
  • There is no option to sell immediately at the available price to complete the transaction immediately.
  • Lack of support for some advanced orders, such as conditional and time-based orders for selling.
  • Weak interface and user experience. It lacks charts for market fluctuations, making it difficult to determine whether the offered price is fair or not.
  • Limiting itself to Hive and HBD. Lack of openness to other currencies in the market.

Now, I'll show you some of the solutions I suggest.

  • Most importantly, there should be incentive fees for liquidity providers in the market.
  • There should be a market maker and large entities to support it.
  • Developing the user interface, making it more professional, and adding orders such as stop-loss and take-profit.
  • Openness to other currencies in the market.
  • Speed in executing transactions to take advantage of sudden spikes in the price of Hive, for example.

I hope my words were helpful. Please feel free to support me and leave your feedback in the comments.

Hello and thanks for this post on HIVE and HBD.

What are your thoughts on the tribaldex HIVE/HBD pair? It has $95K in the liquidity pool. Do you think it is a helpful addition to the internal market?
https://tribaldex.com/swap?from=SWAP.HIVE&to=SWAP.HBD

HBD has been very stable over the last few years, and the interest of 15% APR is great. Do you think it will stay stable? What effect will the US Crypto bills have on HBD when they are signed into law, if any?

Thanks again and have a nice day!

Great questions! I think the HIVE/HBD pair on Tribaldex adds real depth to liquidity, and while HBD's stability has held strong, regulation could shape its future.
