This original idea took over a decade to become a reality, it was ultimately brought to life through the hard work of key contributors like YarSawyer, lukewrightmain, adamamcbride and others.
The Bellscoin blockchain has been restructured and reborn, building upon Billy's original source code and followed strictly his original vision.
With the activation of ordinals on Bellscoin, the platform has attracted a wave of creative energy. Many artists have drawn inspiration from the concept of Billy's first coin and the Animal Crossing-inspired aesthetic.
Thanks to hard work of Nintondo and Ordinals Wallet , a "virtual goods marketplace" has been created, allowing users to design, buy, and sell digital assets—bringing a key part of Billy's original dream to life.
Unlike Dogecoin, which was created purely as a memecoin without a specific purpose, Billy’s vision for Bellscoin was to meaningfully blend gaming and crypto. Teams like SocialGrowAI are already working on delivering engaging GameFi experiences within the ecosystem, and even more GameFi projects yet to be developed.
