RealTimeHive (RTH) - Just bought the domain for the stats project on the Hive blockchain

Logistics, logistics and more logistics... you cannot skip or jump the line. While I lay down the infrastructure for the Real Time Stats on the Hive blockchain project, I have moved and bought a domain for it. Can you guess it? You were right, it is indeed realtimehive.com. I was lucky enough to buy a ".com" domain, which we know it is the prime domain extension out there. And with this step done, I can move to buy some hosting services where I can deploy the application.

How did I get my hands on this sweet domain? Well, here are the steps that I went through to get it.

  1. Go to GoDaddy website.
  2. Search for the availability of the desired domain.
  3. Create/account or Login to GoDaddy.
  4. Add to cart the selected available domain.
  5. Make sure you get your best deal for your domain, either through a promotion run by GoDaddy itself or from third party sites which might offer coupons (specific codes) that you can use during the purchase order.
  6. Buy it!

I ended up buying the domain for 1 Year at the price of 14.47 Euro or 16.05 USD. I have opted in for the minimum period because I had several attempts at launching a project on the Hive blockchain and in the ended I didn't execute on them. Now I already have a MVP - Minimum Viable Product which can be even launched, so I am more confident with having this project seeing the light of day.

Ensuring the infrastructure and all the third parties required to run an app is a mandatory step to get things going. I am moving one step at a time with that and I hope to get it running soon. That's it for today, cheer everyone!

I think everyone should be excited by this project. Also, the site needs an SSL certificate.

Once I get the hosting and deploy the site will add SSL as well. It is a must these days, thanks for the reminder.

It's good to hear! We're all waiting for your next announcement with regards to this project.

Havw you checked hostinger?

Not yet, will consider it when choosing where to host the site. Thanks for the feedback on this.

I bought from Hostinger and I was satisfied with their services.

This is a good one
You didn’t really pay a ridiculous amount

Right, the price is pretty decent for 1 year.

.com domain for almost everything out there is always very expensive

Indeed, probably the domain had quite few letters, thus I got it not so expensive.

It’s easy and even cheap
I like it!

I got this twice.

For the moment the website is parked with a default template by GoDaddy. I intend to add SSL certificates to it, so once done you will not get this anymore.
