Today is 1st of November 2024 and it’s the day when all users from the Hive blockchain unite and prove themselves and their support for this great ecosystem during the event called Hive Power Up Day #HPUD! I must say that I have become an an amateur blogger in finance and crypto once I have discovered this platform and I found it amazing that you can own your data and earn from it. I felt so empowered and the feeling is persisting from 2017 up until this day. Participating in the Hive Power Up Day has become a tradition for many of us on this blockchain, and it’s an opportunity to show our commitment to the network. I haven't always prepared for it and even now after long hours on the road, as I got to the hotel I decided not to let it pass with powering up some of my liquid Hive (not too much, but the gesture is the one that matters).
For this Hive Power Up Day event I succeeded to gather 27.716 Hive liquid and I will be powering it all. My balance was standing at 44,262.959 Hive Power and with the addition of the liquid Hive I've got to 44,290.675 HP. Step by step I am growing my account and my first goal is to reach 45k HP. My ultimate goal is to reach Orca status, but there's some serious hustling to get there. But the plan is in motion and I am moving towards it one day at a time.
You might ask me why I am participating to this event and more why I continue staking up Hive instead of doing trading or taking profits here and there. Well, it is because I believe in the future of this blockchain, what it stands for and the voice that it has to disrupt the free social media in world. And not only that, but the entire financial (DeFi), gaming (play2earn) or true decentralization and ownership of whatever idea or written thing thrown into the world.
Some other reasons for my Hive staking and continuously building in this ecosystem include:
- Reduce market volatility exposure by holding HP instead of liquid Hive and thus not available on the market, which ultimately should improve its price
- Building a stronger voice in the community which can enable me to offer additional services like InLeo Subscriptions
- Building a passive income over time through HP/HBD staking/savings, curation
- Increase the earnings from curation rewards by holding a bigger bag of Hive Power
As others proved it, if you get big enough you can even make a living out of the Hive blockchain. Glue together all the passive and active earnings methods from here and you cannot go wrong. And until that unfolds, you can start by doing a simple Hive Power Up today and on each starting day of the month. You'll get some love from community and as well some upvotes for your support and prove that you move in the same direction with this amazing blockchain.

Nice one and my goal is to catch up with your level of HP. A long way to go but all doable. I’m exchanging some Bitcoin for Hive then powering up. I did do 7 earlier but want to push it a bit more.
Anything else and in time you will start reaping the rewards. Having a steady and rather passive revenue stream is quite amazing and Hive offers that in one way or the other.
I powered up a futther 70 which was good.
