It seems as if the inevitable-looking CBDCs are inspired by the 'Bitcoin' model but with as many in-built tools of regulation as possible - and of course the issue of 'centralisation', which is in the very name CBDC. They're also perhaps intended to jump on the reputaion of Bitcoin, fooling the unschooled into thinking that they are kinda the same. James Corbett has done an excellent piece on this called 'The Bitcoin Psyop' - the 'psyop' being the twisted presentation of a centralised system (akin perhaps to a version of the attempt to save fiat and preserve control) rather than BTC itself :D.
I used to use Chrome a lot but have largely switched to Brave (which accepts Chrome plugins :).
Missing some italics?: "* I own less than 0.0002 of a bitcoin, and I do hold other cryptocurrencies.*"
It does indeed seem that way, and central-isation is in the name, lol. Piggy-backing off Bitcoin's rep is a smart approach from CDBCs, wonder how many people it will net them. Thanks for linking the James Corbett piece, very interesting.
I've installed Brave as well, it's lightning fast, but somehow 'feels' different to me. Perhaps I just need to install my plugins?
Yeah, great catch on the italics, I'll correct them after I see if anyone else catches other corrections. Very much appreciated, and wishing you a great weekend! 🙏
to @barge Not really on topic but i just wanted to talk about the Brave browser, which I love. Recently I was running into issues with online flight bookings where the system simply didn't want to play ball with Brave and I was basically forced to use firefox in order to get my flight. I am not a tech guy, do you have any idea why this might be?
I'm afraid I couldn't say why this might be @beelzebubba. I'd suggest searching to see if this is a known issue between the website and brave (keywords: "[flightWebsiteName] + brave + troubleshoot"). Good luck!
