Data from XRPscan shows that Ripple founder Jed McCaleb transferred large amounts of XRP from his wallet for a week. Between February 20-26, McCaleb carried more than 135.8 million XRP from its tacostand wallet in six separate transactions.
The former CTO paid more than 19 million XRP five times between February 22-26. As seen in the image below, it carried more than 38 million XRP on February 20.
The price of XRP has been falling for the past two weeks, and at the time of writing, XRP was trading at $ 0.43, down 7% in the past 24 hours. This means that the amount of XRP McCaleb cashed is approximately $ 58 million. Earlier, between February 12 and 15, Ripple co-founder transferred more than 114 million XRP. After the last transaction, more than 76 million XRP remained in McCaleb's wallet.
An analyst said he believes McCaleb has more than 2 billion XRP remaining in cold storage, with the exception of tacostand wallet funds, and that the amount will run out by May if the former CTO continues to transfer large amounts of XRP from its wallet.
