A concept of involving members in decision-making or even proposal implementations is highly effective. When members actively participate, we can decentralize and democratize the direction of the community. At HiveBR, we have a similar model, and it's yielding positive results. I have so little engagement and followers on Twitter that my comment on the show could be the best of all but there are no views hahaha sad but completely my fault for not liking interacting on the tweeter
But you are always so nice and friendly! You should have lots of followers on Twitter! If you don't follow me, yet, do it now and I will try to engage more with your tweets! Hopefully, that will help a lot!
On web3/we don't have to neg for followers, your incentives aren't coming from the number of followers, just from your good content and engagement. Haha

Something that I find interesting is the tokenization of these communities, how do you think is the best way to do it, knowing that you don't have any knowledge of Web 3 which is the ideal way to do it, or is there another way.
We have to maintain good behavior to the newbie to attract them to stay. Sometimes the activity of a community is dependent on the attitude of the members of the community.
This is a crucial point. Bringing in new people might be the easiest part; the real work begins when we need to guide newcomers. It's essential to have patience to show them the first steps, and it's the community's duty to build this support for those who are just arriving
What will forever set web3 from web2 is the community. Community is very important, it is where people belong and are safe. One way these communities can strive is by assigning important roles to community members, everyone plays their parts and the community grows.
I agree with you. In Web2, there isn't the sense of belonging that we have in Web3. Here, we are building a community together; everyone feels like owners of the platform and wishes for its prosperity.
Bread (not to be mistaken with breads) is making a lot of sense. One of the ways to activate your community is to give them roles and keep them involved in the project. Once people are involved they have no choice but to be active.
everyone is making sense with their points, I also agree with breads, to activate a community, there is need to assign roles, because when people know they are valued enough to be given a role, they automatically get involved and active.
Remember that building and activating a community takes time, effort, and patience. It's essential to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere to keep members engaged and invested in the community's growth and success.
Maintaining a good atmosphere, a good environment is important to maintain the community. It is necessary to maintain that calmness and stability that every environment needs to bear good fruits. It's not just the numbers, it's the feeling
you are correct, activating a community is not something that is done in a day or two, rather it takes time, energy and effort. And if a community wants to grow it members can also help by being very active.
It is real, building and maintaining a community requires a lot of time and effort. It is very important that the leaders of the community do a good job with the members, that they create an environment of commitment among all to grow.
Good communication helps in building a good community. That way everyone can contribute and not feel left out. But then there should be a form of understanding and support from one another.
Activating community also means a lot of responsibility for the community managers, they should seek feedback on how to grow the bond in their community using Dosvords and other means to bind with their members or users.
Sure! Educational content, to activate community, active members should be appreciated, let's build many opportunities, create something interesting to attract members' attention and others unsubscribers to subscribe to the community
Every creator needs to know that its members are what make a community what it is. So maintaining transparency should be considered as it will assist in promoting trust , growth and teamwork in the community!
This is so true, a founder must be able to ask themselves questions and provide answers to each one, like you've talked about, we need to pull some specific skills from the community and using such person will make the job easier.
That point is important. Transparency from the very beginning makes a difference. Knowing who is behind the projects inspires confidence and if they have a good reputation, it will help a lot
That's how it should be, not just having the NFT, the tokens.... it should be what guarantees some kind of benefit to the holders of the community. The members who have these instruments, should be participatory and not wait for the profit.
A community will get activated when its members get fully involved and dedicated to their work, they start giving ideas in order to improve everything and of course their leaders consider them important and start making good use of it…
Stiring community involvement can take different forms depending on the lkindof poject and the value it offers. A social project would require engagement from participants and this is important for sustainability and growth.
For NFTs, involvement could be with buying the NFTs and sendign feedbacks on the overall outlook of the project. In all, the community creator would have to intentionally make the project open for involvement and reviews.
activating the community members means promotion of their engagement in the form of participation and feedback within the ecosystem so that the ecosystem will be sustainable as their values. Better than having community that's not activated
I also think transparency is very important among the founders or leaders, if they are like minded then it will help the members. Cuz now they are seeing the transparency
Kodak is making a lot of sense. A good way to activate your community (pickle) is to listen and work with the feedback from the community. When people see you listen their ideas they'll be active
People like it when they have someone that listens to them; it is just like a leader who needs to hear out from its members, and when members get feedback, they will want to stay more. they leave when there is no response.
Having a community is not just about bringing people together. You have to give them something that motivates them to follow you and that they have a benefit. And yes, web3 is that.
What the fluff is your community about? Define the vision.
Get people involved, get people participating.
Provide incentives for engagement. Take the INLEO threadcast going on right now... We can be incentivised for participating here....
Lastly as your community grows .. start empowering community leaders. Identify the most active and engaged members of your community and empower them to take on leadership roles.
empowering and generating a sense of belonging in the leaders and members of a community is an important part of maintaining them, because when members do not want their community, they simply end up going elsewhere.
If the vision of the community is vivid to its members then empowerment would kick in because users would lay their skills vulnerable for them to be given a role. Now the role is given, such administrator would exercise the duties.
The incentivization of users for participating in the community is another crucial thing to do. We have to remember that digital ownership and citizenship come with data cost for internet access as well as good gadgets with improved features. Incentivizing community participation would real help participants cover part of their costs and encourage more participation. Your mention of INLEO example is very apt.
Web2 is quite different from Web3 and this is basically because there is nothing like community support or feedback on web2 interface. But for the web3 interface, community speaks a lot about the success of a project. That’s the difference
Another difference is that web 2 is more managed and can be viralized without any retribution. In web 3, even in Hive, there is a feedback with which you even monetize and feel part of it.
The difference is clear. Web3 give users true ownerships and also help them understand that their voice is valued. Activating a community also I tells that users or subscribers should feel they are part of the project or vision.
Yeah. What’s more interesting that’s seeing the Dow lines of a project enjoy what the project offers and also have the freedom to make their contribution to the success of it. Web3 really should embrace this opportunity.
Every community would be activated by a visionary founder.
Earlier today, we listened to founders of dapps/communities on Hive share insights into the value they seek to create on Hive courtesy of their product. This gives a clear roadmap on what to expect and the necessary commitments that would be expected from users.
Where there is no visionary leadership, the community can't grow nor thrive.
You're absolutely correct. Visionary founders play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and growth of a community. Their vision provides a sense of purpose, attracts like-minded individuals, and guides the community's development
visions acts as roadmap development process of the projects. Every good projects should have on the whitepaper. Visionary leaders provide the clear direction of how the projects will develop over time. Other people can easily work with it.
Yeah, you hit it right there with the whitepaper. The visions must be correnctly communicated to the people involved through the right document tha tells what would be done at what point in the journey.
Is providing small rewards truly a good way to give back to the community, or are we just fostering opportunism? While rewarding members can be an interesting idea, it should be done intelligently to avoid creating a type of member who is solely in it for the gains. One thing I believe works exceptionally well is badges, roles, and other means of distinguishing the most engaged members. People love having some form of status to showcase their involvement.
There would always be people with the mindset of only "taking" and not giving back to the community by actively participating in the growth of that community. Roles and badges would indeed help to provide recognition to promising members.
You are right on point with this. There's a lot of intelligence needed when and after creating a community. And I love the approach you took on badges, roles, and other means to give a role to the engaged members.
I believe that another way to create an active community is to have a good vision, set smart goals, know what can delay you, what your audience really wants, and what can make them active online.
And also getting them involved in allowing them to vote on a proposal. Getting their views alone is key to knowing how to run a community and see it thrive.
vEry true, having a these utilities and knowing where exactly to apply them and the interest of the people in that community really matters a lot in activating such community
Knowing who you are talking to is also very important. You can bring people of all kinds to your community with hard work, but to truly feel part of the community you need to communicate with those who are passionate about the community.
Yes, you can have a lot of people, but if you don't know them and they don't know you, there's almost no possible way for everyone to connect and stay in that community. We have to make everyone friends at least.
Building a community requires clear communication, active engagement, and a focus on shared values and goals. It's about creating a space where people feel valued, heard, and connected to one another.
I totally agree. And that's what I love about InLEO. It listens to our feedback, getting us involved and participating actively in the development of the UI and what else is coming.
appreciate InLEO's approach to involving the community and listening to feedback. It's a great way to ensure that the platform aligns with the users' needs and preferences
Activating a community sounds easy, doing initiatives, providing value or education, but how do you deal with the lack of people, what I'm saying is that it's complicated to fill the room, it's a hassle when this happens 💪.
building and activating a community takes time, effort, and patience. Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere to keep members engaged and invested in the community's growth and success.
So true no one is going to stay in a community that is chaotic and hostile towards them, everyone needs a welcoming environment where they can lay down their hair and not be judged. To me that’s the best gift any community can give out.
To be honest, web2 has a strong set of communities but these communities are in the wrong place. Web3 is the best place to grow a community and add value to the members because without them there would be no community.
Web2 has strong communities but they do not know how to maximize these communities. Also, on web2 they never really have full ownership of these community
when it comes to activating and growing a community, Web3 is the best place to do it. Let's use Hive blockchain as a case study. Communities are thriving and one of the reasons is that members play an active role in decision making.
I think a community founder can arrange a crypto or NFTs airdrop to target more people to generate a lot of traffic. With a huge traffic some users must be attract to the community.
ERic should come on board, unless yyoU don't want to sell inleos's strategies. Coming out like an idea that keeps us on chain 24/7 is obviously not a cchchild's play
Educating members helps to be active, community education should be as important as community decisions. Let every member have the same interest, great tasks if possible, a daily and weekly with some microblogging
Tank you for talking about the education of members of the community. This is a very important aspect of community activation and growth. Without education in line with the vision, the expected outcome may never be reached.
I believe that a community gains value when its members get involved and as Whitters says start giving ideas in order to improve everything and of course their leaders consider them and start improving everything thanks to those ideas.
That's true. It's surprising the amount of good ideas members have and are ready to share. If you involve your members and make them feel they're important to the growth of the project, they won't abandon you.
In my opinion to activate a community ,first the community should be in the interest of people, makes it a lot easier to activate, since there is massive interest already it would be easier to push project and engagements within community
You are very correct on this. The community should interest people which is what they said about creating a community with value and also making it easy to use.
I totally agree, it is important that people feel interest in the community, that it is a community that contributes and has interesting projects, so that people will value it much more.
Learning of what your community needs to gain an activation is a good start. It shouldn't be about what the leader/founder of community wants but what the members wishes to see. He puts their interest at heart while thinking up new ways.
Active participation by members is also key in building a community. If every member of the community adds value and is more interested in seeing the community grow then there is no stopping it from reaching the stars.
Without the participation, construction and activation becomes impossible. The name community comes from the Latin "communitas" which refers to the quality of what is common, if it is not common to everyone there is no community!
let us be sincere Attitude is also everything. If you do not have a good character as a builder and also if you cannot work together with your teammate, then there is no way such a founder can build up a community.
I'm nothing charismatic, and a few years ago I had a community, small, but still, they followed me for months. IT WAS WEIRD. I loved it. To have someone charismatic and approachable is a need, like, they need and know how to talk to people
This is beautiful, now our dear InLeo Team is a perfect example of this. I doubt if any member isn't fully involved seeing the way the team is carrying everyone along and providing the needed value.
Haha this is real, maybe the topic is not of my great interest but if the leaders give that good vibe and interest to contribute to the community I even offer to help ...
A very good example of making a community active can be seen in the INLEO community. Team INLEO knows what the members want by getting us a place we can thread and say our minds while also getting rewards from it. This is a good example.
Yeah, I also think that the kind of leader a community have can affect it positivity or negatively, leaders are the ones who should take the lead in a community so if they are not active it will affect both the community and the members.
yeah you right .How did my mind not go to Inleo after seeing the topic for discussion. a perfect example for community activation. the members are given nice and interesting experiences
Activating a community is not a one man job, it is a collective effort, it is a job that requires assignment of roles, because when people get given an important role, it automatically leads to activity, which will bring about activation
With everyone having a role or part to play in the activation of a community, everyone wiill be indebted to ensure that the community he/she is actively involved in is his priority to help grow
yes to know you are involved and your participation in the community is acknowledge then it brings forth an active community. So people should know why the are in the community in the first place.
For this to happen, each person must be a member and owner of the project, as is the case in INLEO | HIVE. That way we generate a sense of belonging and users become much more involved.
Keep your members informed with regular updates on happenings . Use social media to raise awareness of activity happening on the platform.
Make them know what are they achieving individually and as a collective too.
It seems communities could gain audience on the different social media handles, I mean that's where to find the most people, i think this particular role belongs to me, my ssocial media handles I've got to serve a purpose
Yea that's right to an extent, but then aside adopting new people, I believe creating something of great value that'll attract this people to join you in building the project, thereafter, one can work towards building those you listed.
Creating something of great value right? Maybe via the use of tokens as incentives right? To me, it could attract users and new people to participate after all there's a reward they'll say.
Keeping a community happy is difficult. And to do so requires a team that coordinates activities and benefits for that community. The success of the project depends on it.
We must take into account that we cannot make decisions that everyone likes, there will always be someone who is against it and it does not mean that our decision is not the right one, maybe there is not the same personal vision.
No one wants to support a dull and inactive community. A community should first have a defined objective. This will help the subscribers to engage with each other and also do their best in building the community.
Building supportive communities is vital for fostering growth in both Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 spaces, as they encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation across the digital landscape.
A lot of opportunities need to be created for community members that keep them engaged with the community. That is something leo does well because there's always something new and innovative that comes up. take weekend threading as an eg
I understand you, I think that growing a community with content or adding value takes a lot of time, dealing with low attendance is difficult and discouraging and you end up giving up.
When you build with the community members, and allowing them to understand the project, you are able to build ethos and culture that would essentially x10 the productivity of the community as a collective people.
Creating a culture specific to your community is very difficult but proportionally powerful! When culture spills out of your community and starts to be adopted by other people, it’s even more incredible! Take NouNs as an example
A concept of involving members in decision-making or even proposal implementations is highly effective. When members actively participate, we can decentralize and democratize the direction of the community. At HiveBR, we have a similar model, and it's yielding positive results. It's an opportunity for everyone to contribute to the community's development

Bread (not to be mistaken with breads) is making a lot of sense. One of the ways to activate your community is to give them roles and keep them involved in the project. Once people are involved they have no choice but to be active.
Oh. I just realised that there's Breads and there is Bread.
Allowing people to get involved community projects x10 the outcome. Look at what InLeo is doing with its community members.
Hehe, they're trying to confuse us, lol.
Exactly, Inleo is a very good example of this. Inleo has gotten a lot more active since they got us involved.
everyone is making sense with their points, I also agree with breads, to activate a community, there is need to assign roles, because when people know they are valued enough to be given a role, they automatically get involved and active.
Exactly! They are stuck there for a very long time!
Once people are involved in a project, they stay committed. So that's a good one from Bread.
Remember that building and activating a community takes time, effort, and patience. It's essential to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere to keep members engaged and invested in the community's growth and success.

Thanks for making this perfect!
It is real, building and maintaining a community requires a lot of time and effort. It is very important that the leaders of the community do a good job with the members, that they create an environment of commitment among all to grow.
It is very important to the community leaders to carry out their duties diligently to ensure swift running of the community.
Good communication helps in building a good community. That way everyone can contribute and not feel left out. But then there should be a form of understanding and support from one another.
This is really important and a good point there, some people stop engaging when they felt Left out even me I would
Targeting the right audience and coming up with something they will find interest in too is important.
Like creating a problem that only you have the solution, that's an idea way to get people's attention.
Activating community also means a lot of responsibility for the community managers, they should seek feedback on how to grow the bond in their community using Dosvords and other means to bind with their members or users.
#inleo is a community there community should learn from tho, I don’t think they do any daily prompt since I joined hive and they are doing so well.
The inleo ui even gave the community more love wit the innovation they keep being to us
Sure! Educational content, to activate community, active members should be appreciated, let's build many opportunities, create something interesting to attract members' attention and others unsubscribers to subscribe to the community

Definitely, #inleo is definitely a clear example to use, most individuals are committed today, because of the level of utility attached.
It's goal's are cleared and all user's are carried along with it long term goals.
activating the community members means promotion of their engagement in the form of participation and feedback within the ecosystem so that the ecosystem will be sustainable as their values. Better than having community that's not activated
Active participation of community members is the bridge to creating a smooth and transparent community.

o yourYou're really funny but that's is it, tokens motivate me a lot, you can do community give away
Having a community is not just about bringing people together. You have to give them something that motivates them to follow you and that they have a benefit. And yes, web3 is that.
empowering and generating a sense of belonging in the leaders and members of a community is an important part of maintaining them, because when members do not want their community, they simply end up going elsewhere.

Yeah I know right 🙂
Learning of what your community needs to gain an activation is a good start. It shouldn't be about what the leader/founder of community wants but what the members wishes to see. He puts their interest at heart while thinking up new ways.
Exactly 🙂
Active participation by members is also key in building a community. If every member of the community adds value and is more interested in seeing the community grow then there is no stopping it from reaching the stars.
Without the participation, construction and activation becomes impossible. The name community comes from the Latin "communitas" which refers to the quality of what is common, if it is not common to everyone there is no community!
freTherefore, a common good must be imparted to this community. This way everyone enjoys being there and participating.
That's true. The growth of a community can also be due to the attitude and charisma of the Community builders.
Some people are quite charismatic... Just the sight of them makes you want to get involved in their community.
let us be sincere Attitude is also everything. If you do not have a good character as a builder and also if you cannot work together with your teammate, then there is no way such a founder can build up a community.
That's true. A community builder should be ready and open to accommodate teammates.
I'm nothing charismatic, and a few years ago I had a community, small, but still, they followed me for months. IT WAS WEIRD. I loved it. To have someone charismatic and approachable is a need, like, they need and know how to talk to people
Exactly. Being approachable is a very good idea. I fancy that in leaders.
This is beautiful, now our dear InLeo Team is a perfect example of this. I doubt if any member isn't fully involved seeing the way the team is carrying everyone along and providing the needed value.
Exactly. When the team are actively involved in the community building, it becomes easier for members to give their best.
Exactly. I think this is what defines a community. If they are part of a community, they will do their best to grow the community.
Assigning communities a role in the community building is something that has to be taken seriously.
For this to happen, each person must be a member and owner of the project, as is the case in INLEO | HIVE. That way we generate a sense of belonging and users become much more involved.
I really do get the sense of what you mean, a sense of belonging is essential for the active involvement of users
Regular communications
Yea like token, like features, like potentials and the likes
That is something leo does well because there's always something new and innovative that comes up. take weekend threading as an eg
it’s not easy being a creator
Sometimes I think if what all this MOD are going through especially coming up with prompt topic weekly.
announcements and everything, it’s not easy and then having just few people participate is a pain
I understand you, I think that growing a community with content or adding value takes a lot of time, dealing with low attendance is difficult and discouraging and you end up giving up.
Yeah yeah
You really got my point
When you build with the community members, and allowing them to understand the project, you are able to build ethos and culture that would essentially x10 the productivity of the community as a collective people.
Creating a culture specific to your community is very difficult but proportionally powerful! When culture spills out of your community and starts to be adopted by other people, it’s even more incredible! Take NouNs as an example
