Both are actually very convenient. There was an adjustment with Linux, but I use almost everything from a web browser, so there wasn't much change.
Graphene was a much smaller adjustment. Just install as many private and open-source app equivalents as you can, and all the spyware apps you're used to go in a separate sandboxed profile. Works just like Android then.
I'm a proud GrapheneOS and Linux user, so I get spied on much less than the average person.
