Dont know what actually trigger the notifications but have noticed that upvotes usually is not shown for me. I can just se them when I check activity on peakd

Exactly, the notification that we have received an upvote is not displayed.
It is only displayed if it is big enough.
Is this maybe be a configurations setting @khaleelkazi? I mean what notifications we get? :)
oh hmmm I hadn't noticed that there was a threshhold
