I guess this is the best way to check your curation rewards - https://hivestats.io/@thatgermandude .

Go to rewards and curation and wherever you see 0 although you have voted - it is dust .

I personally prefer having separate accounts for tribes , you need not post from both , I always post from my main account . You can use the second account just to curate.

    it is strange, according to that I rarely have dust rewards, but I do vote a lot of comments with 50% of my HP which should result in less than 1 cent payout, my VP is also rather low (40-60%)

      Well if you rarely have dust it can be one of the following reasons

      1. Your vote is 0.02
      2. If 1 is not true then after you have voted , somebody else has voted
      3. They have dustsweeper enabled.

      I just checked my votes that are 7 days old, I can pretty much eliminate 1. and 2. , you can see the main chunk of my votes on Not-a-Lottery comments.

      So my guess is 3. but what is dustsweeper?

        Well dustsweeper is like , you send some Hive to it and whenever your comment gets an upvote which is less than 0.02$ the dustsweeper bots comes in on 5th or 6th day and upvote it to push it above 0.02$ so that you don't miss the payout or in words it prevents it from becoming dust.
