RE: Vertical Farming Coupled With Renewable Energy

in LeoFinance4 years ago

In terms of resources, this process will use 250 times less water than traditional agriculture.

This is amazing . India must look into this technology ( they are already doing it to some extent on pilot basis but should scale it up ) . The reason I say that is because in India 70% of the water is used for irrigation. 70% is huge and that is the reason for water scarcity in many parts as well as groundwater depletion.

With increasing fragmentation of farmland in India , vertical farming is the best available alternative .

It will happen, it just takes time. That is the thing about technology, penetration is over years, not months.

Each new innovation improves the process, allowing for greater production at less cost. Unfortunately, those developers take time which is why V2 and V3 are rolled out years after the original start.
