I think the Splinterlands tournaments take quite a bit of time. I think I earn more doing ranked battles compared to tournaments. However it doesn't lower your dark energy capture rate so I think it's more for people who have alot of time on their hands.

I think the DCity tournament attracted alot of people but that was like a 1mil prize pool. I didn't think I would be good enough to break the entry cost so the risk-reward wasn't good enough for me.

What was the entry cost for dcity tournament? Also what was the tournament about ?
I can see how tournament can be organized on splinterland but not sure how it can be done on dcity.

In DCity, you can generate tokens call ENTRY. With these ENTRY you can pay for the participation in the Splinterlands DCity tournament which returns DEC. I can't find the announcement but maybe some anniversary or something.

I think it was 4k ENTRY tokens to enter with a total prize pool of 1million DEC. When I calculated the costs, 4k ENTRY tokens was more than the reward I would get for rank 33-50 given it was a gold rank tournament. This would of given me 1k DEC which is less than the cost of 4k ENTRY tokens.

Oh okay okay so the competition is actually on splinterlands itself. I thought it was on dcity and was wondering how it works.

I dont play it either but it is good to see. That is one of the leading blockchain games and great that it is getting some attention.

A lot of things seem to be happening at the same time. We just have to keep pumping these numbers, graphs, and charts.

To me quantifying things in this nature and then sending them out is a powerful way to garner attention.

Totally agree. One of the best ways to show progress is through numbers but to make it more understandable - visualization is important.
