Engagement
It is no secret that engagement on a platform adds a lot of value not only to the platform but also to the token of the platform . How are you going to reward this engagement?
- Upvoting the quality comments?
- Using engagement tokens like WINE , BEER , ENGAGE to reward them .
Why use the 2nd method instead of 1st?
- Maybe because you want to avoid dust ( less than 0.02$ is considered dust and neither author nor curator gets the reward on Hive )
- Your voting power is way too less.
- Your voting value is less .
- You have voted already on the comment but still want to provide extra rewards for the same comment .
There are numerous tokens like WINE , BEER , ENGAGE , BBH etc ( do you know more? Let me know in the comments ) but here I have taken three such tokens .

Using all three mentioned above and dustsweeper really prefer to make sure when I drop off a little it is well received.
Enjoyed this reminder since more often than not one does forget the requirements, on all three above is @johannpiber who actively promotes all three plus more.
Not only does this assist livening up the comments, using at the same time as thanking people on their replies to/from either their posts or your own.

Thanks a lot Joan, but actually I always forget about the !ENGAGE 30 and I can't send more than 3 wine per day, but I never forget to add my footer with the !BEER and if I write enough also the !invest_vote 😁
I am still trying to buy more wine, this post spelled out the requirements which I do appreciate, allowed me to double check once again I am on the right track quite often I miss something a get a bit lost like a mountain goat...

BEER.Thanks @amr008 tried another route suggested, I do not have Keychain up and running after experiencing problems with it when it first came out.
Have been advised to try new version which I will get to soon, I prefer using HiveSigner that works fine everywhere.

Have found most times I run out of wine then learned you only have one per day, trying to purchase more let us see what happens.
Beer and Engage I have used since they started and enjoy the useful extra ways of dropping some off when commenting.
25 WINE staked gives you one call , 75 gives you 2 and if I am not wrong 225 gives you 3 . It has 2 more levels which I am not sure of.

Hi i used to get some Sports Tokens, i guess from Actifit. I use to unstake them and change via swap.app to hive.
I also got some beer and wine tokens, but dont know, what to do with it.

Same with ENGAGE token too but you should have 1001 ENGAGE to call it .

See this will send you 10 ENGAGE from the pool . I have 1001 ENGAGE so I can call it .
Sports if I am not wrong takes 7 days I suppose but I am not really sure about it because I have never unstaked them . I will tag @patrickulrich , he will tell you about that.

When you feel like the other person deserves it .
For example , my hive upvote is not big but since you are engaging with me I would love to reward you for that .
I can then use any of the above mentioned tokens to reward you .
Since I called ENGAGE 10 above - you can see that you got 10 tokens of ENGAGE . Check your wallet on Leodex or Hive Engine , you can see that.

I have never used any of these token calls because I thought it required more on my part and I didn't want to make the investment. I see that I have enough staked in a couple of them, so I might try starting to use them.

I'm not the biggest fan of all these Tokens. It feels like a lot of extra steps... not saying Im not thankful for when I get them, it is just that I dont like when things get unnecessary complicated.
Speaking about reasons, I totally forgot or surpressed the memory of this stupid dust rule. I would really like to have a meeting with the kneecaps of whoever came up with this idea... Means all the comments that I upvote actually get no hive rewards, just Leo. I guess I will have to seperate accounts to fix this... I really wanted to avoid having a second main account... I even got delegation from @zuerich ... what is even happening to all my dust upvotes? Curation rewards tab is broken....

Go to rewards and curation and wherever you see 0 although you have voted - it is dust .
I personally prefer having separate accounts for tribes , you need not post from both , I always post from my main account . You can use the second account just to curate.

it is strange, according to that I rarely have dust rewards, but I do vote a lot of comments with 50% of my HP which should result in less than 1 cent payout, my VP is also rather low (40-60%)

I just checked my votes that are 7 days old, I can pretty much eliminate 1. and 2. , you can see the main chunk of my votes on Not-a-Lottery comments.
So my guess is 3. but what is dustsweeper?
Well dustsweeper is like , you send some Hive to it and whenever your comment gets an upvote which is less than 0.02$ the dustsweeper bots comes in on 5th or 6th day and upvote it to push it above 0.02$ so that you don't miss the payout or in words it prevents it from becoming dust.

For ENGAGE token - you have buy 1001 ENGAGE tokens to call the command .
For WINE token - you need to stake atleast 25 tokens to call .
For BEER token - you need to stake atleast 24 tokens to call.

Yea the dust rule really hurts any new-comers. If they don't have tribe tags, it's very likely they get nothing from a post. It was a bit discouraging when I first came to HIVE from Splinterlands to realize that my posts didn't net me anything while others with similar quality posts were.

I think they are all great tokens as they give something to others but make sure you check in with the owners to make sure they will allow it. I know some of them want it for actual engagement and etc so you aren't abusing it.
