In January 2019, I ignored persistent pain under my ribs, thinking it was anxiety or a minor issue. After several visits to urgent care and an ultrasound showing gallstones, I reluctantly went to the ER. To my shock, my gallbladder had ruptured overnight, leading to multiple surgeries and an 8-month recovery.
Lesson learned: Don’t ignore unexplained pain. What seems minor can turn serious. Always get checked out if pain persists. It could save you from a long recovery.
