CBDCs are basically an extension of the fiat system in a more electronically updated version, but it will still be fiat after all.
In fact, before CBDCs go fully digital, there will still be printed bills being distributed in parallel with CBDCs for a while.
Even worse, with CBDCs, the government will even have a better grip in they money you have.
Needless to say, that it can be programmed into CBDCs that taxes and all what you owe to the government be automatically discounted and deposited into a government's wallet.
And they will know it all, from the amount you have and what amount of monetary gift you received from your parents.
