People come from far and wide to see your set art because it is very popular and there is a lot to see there. There is set art of various types and of that place. Everyone sits there on the banks of the Ganga. There is a very famous radio station there. Durga Puja idols are also made there. That place is very popular because the state there is so beautiful that people come from faraway places or even from outside the city to see it. Why? Because that is the colour of the people there. That colour is shown there—how those people live there and they see their state and their Durga Puja idol.

The majority of the artisans dwelling in the North Kolkata neighbourhoods decreased or vanished in the late nineteenth century, pushed out by the Burrabazar invasion. In addition, Marwari businessmen effectively drove out others from numerous North Kolkata neighbourhoods. The people there are very popular for their art because the idols are made there in a very good way. There are some very good artists in the hands of Ullu. That is why we can take idols of Kolkata from there, and you know how much pomp Durga Puja is celebrated in Kolkata, and the seat of the city there is very good. You can see in the photo how beautiful the seat of the city would be.

The potters of Kumortuli, who fashioned clay from the river beside their home into pots to sell at Sutanuti Bazar, were able to survive in the region. They gradually began to create pictures of gods and goddesses, which were worshipped in huge numbers in nearby mansions and eventually at community pujas in the city and beyond.
