Calculating Alcohol Content
To calculate the alcohol content, subtract the final gravity from the initial gravity and apply the formula. If your initial gravity was 1.070 and final gravity was 0.995, the difference would be 0.075. Multiply this number by 131.25 to estimate the alcohol by volume (ABV).
In the example provided, the alcohol content would be approximately 9.5%. This will provide a solid alcohol level for your homemade pineapple wine.
