The Changing Demographics and Opportunities in China for Africans
The Emergence of Guangzhou as an African Hub
For many years, Guangzhou, China, has been affectionately known as "Little Africa" or "Chocolate City" due to its vibrant African community. Guangzhou’s strategic location, with its busy port, made it an ideal base for African traders and entrepreneurs. The city's thriving markets and accessible logistics allowed many Africans to import goods from China and export to various African countries, especially Tanzania, where profit margins remained attractive despite rising costs.
