Additionally, tapeworms are another parasitic threat. They can grow up to 2-3 meters long inside the human intestines, and infection can occur if one inadvertently consumes contaminated fish with embedded tapeworm larvae. Symptoms may include vague gastrointestinal discomfort or visible worms in stool, but often, infections remain unnoticed until they are advanced.
