The MOH swiftly issued warnings, beginning resource stockpiling and readiness protocols by January 2nd, even before definitive evidence of human transmission. Supplies of pharmaceuticals, PPE, and medical equipment were checked and replenished from multiple sources, including international suppliers. However, by late January, disruptions in supply chains, particularly from China, posed challenges, leading to delays and cancellations of orders. Despite these hurdles, Singapore maintained adequate stock levels, reflecting the resilience and foresight of its healthcare system.
