Part 11/12:
As the conflict drags on, efforts toward peace remain uncertain. The resistance—comprising ethnic armies, civil disobedience, and scattered armed groups—continues to fight, often with limited resources and support. The Myanmar military, with approximately 70,000 troops and support forces numbering nearly 880,000, employs disproportionate force, especially aerial bombardments, to suppress opposition, often at the expense of civilians.
Despite these bleak realities, many hope for a political solution that ends the cycle of violence. The possibility of dialogue remains elusive, yet some analysts believe that under certain conditions and with international pressure, negotiations may eventually occur.
