Investigators use reverse image searches and Google Lens to trace the origin of manipulated videos. For example, a deepfake of Ratan Tata endorsing a fraudulent scheme was traced through reverse image searches revealing the original source videos. AI detection tools further assess whether audio and video are artificially generated, providing additional evidence.
