Leading the Charge

Perhaps Michael’s most impactful work was in disability services. Sitting at a board meeting, he was unexpectedly appointed to chair a committee tasked with transitioning disability services from the Ministry of Social Affairs to the Singapore Council of Social Service (NCSS). Despite initial unfamiliarity with disability issues, Michael took this challenge head-on, learning about the needs of disabled individuals and developing comprehensive policies.
