Despite setbacks, progress has been made. The establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, the signing of the peace accords, and ongoing development projects provide hope for a peaceful, inclusive future. The region's youth and children, who have grown up amid conflict, now have opportunities for education and development that could pave the way for greater stability.
NGOs, international partners, and the Filipino government are now working to address trauma, promote justice, and build economic resilience. The challenge lies in sustaining political will, ensuring effective implementation of agreements, and managing the land, political, and security issues that continue to threaten peace.
