Part 5/10:
The Impact of Population Aging
Thailand's aging society presents a host of new challenges:
Increased Healthcare Costs: As life expectancy extends—women, in particular, now live into their late 70s—the demand for medical and elderly care rises exponentially. The country already spends billions of dollars annually on healthcare for seniors.
Shrinking Workforce: Since 2014, the labor force participation rate among working-age individuals has started to decline, threatening economic growth and productivity. With fewer young workers, supporting an aging population becomes a financial and logistical challenge.
