After successfully documenting the crossing into Ecuador and Colombia, the team attempted to proceed into Panama’s Darien province—a critical gateway for migrants. However, due to permit restrictions and escalating security concerns, they were unable to gain official access to migrant reception centers in Panama. Instead, they resorted to following migrant routes via riverboats, capturing migrants coming ashore after perilous boat journeys through dense jungle and river systems.
