Given the film's dud status, theaters are faced with strategic decisions. Interestingly, even with poor initial reception, some industry insiders believe Snow White could remain in theaters for at least a month. The reasoning is that theaters aim to maximize their revenue from current runs, and sometimes maintaining a film longer—even if it's performing poorly—can be worthwhile, especially if future streaming releases are anticipated.

The revenue split model also plays a role. Typically, Disney and other studios take approximately 50% of ticket sales, but during the first week, this share is greater for the studio—up to 60% or more—enabling studios to leverage their power to keep movies showing longer.
