The Challenges of Filming Daring Stunts

Behind the scenes, filming these daring feats is as demanding as it looks. The plane scene, for example, involved a camera operator hanging out of a moving aircraft, often "flying blind" with only a glass indicator to guide focus and composition. This wouldn't have been possible without extensive planning, countless rehearsals, and complete reliance on spatial memory. The camera operator had to memorize the exact position and distance from Tom Cruise, executing 106 jumps to perfect each shot.
