The elites enjoy their private clubs, exclusive events, and curated images, while the average person increasingly recognizes the disconnect.
The challenge moving forward is whether society will demand genuine accountability or continue to indulge in the illusion of progress. The industry’s history suggests that without systemic overhaul, these patterns will persist: powerful figures abusing their position, others complicit or silent, and society distracted by surface-level scandals and superficial virtue.
