Historically, China has positioned itself as a key mediator in the Korean crisis, hosting the Six-Party Talks from 2003 to 2007. During those years, China took on the role of a host, striving to create an environment conducive to dialogue. Efforts included providing hospitality—serving tea and facilitating discussions among participants from North Korea, South Korea, the United States, Japan, Russia, and China itself. Despite these concerted efforts, tangible progress remained elusive, and the talks did not lead to substantial denuclearization or resolution of tensions.
