The Specter of Impeachment
Looking ahead, many political analysts foresee a real possibility: President Trump may face impeachment around late 2018 or 2019. This scenario is contingent upon a significant shift in power—specifically, if the Democrats gain control of the House of Representatives during the midterm elections.
Should this occur, the Democratic majority could initiate impeachment proceedings. However, the success of such efforts hinges on numerous factors, including the support from the Senate, which must also approve articles of impeachment for it to result in removal from office.
