Despite these obstacles, the company persisted, opening its first shop in Rotorua, with the oldest surviving shop located on Moore Street, Canada. Their expansion was driven by resilience; even in the face of economic downturns like the 1997 Asian financial crisis, which wiped out many local companies, they stayed committed to their roots.
