Many SMEs extended their focus beyond profit, engaging in acts of community support. Cyc made masks for migrant workers, mobilizing community resources and volunteers. They aimed to produce 300,000 masks, collaborating with government agencies and NGOs to support Singapore’s vulnerable populations.
Similarly, Okada Ecotech contributed disinfectants directly to charitable initiatives, helping to sanitize environments for seniors and the less-privileged. Such actions foster trust and strengthen community ties, demonstrating that business success in times of crisis includes social responsibility.
