One of Singapore’s most recognizable national songs, "Stand Up for Singapore," was initially not meant for mass community singing. Despite its profound influence, there has been much confusion about its origins. Many mistakenly attribute the song to local composer Dick Lee, but it was actually penned by Jeremy Montero, with lyrics by Hugh Harrison, who composed both "Count on Me Singapore" and "We Are Singapore."
