Recognizing these emotional and social challenges, volunteers and community officials are actively working to support residents throughout the transition. Efforts include mapping social networks to facilitate continued interactions and organizing meet-ups to preserve long-standing relationships.
There is also a concerted effort to keep residents close to their familiar environment. Some have applied for housing nearby or are being assisted by social agencies to find moved-in flats that offer proximity to their original community.
