Devi's life has been repeatedly upheaved by worsening storms, forcing her to relocate multiple times. Having endured the catastrophic 1998 cyclone that killed over 6,000 people, she faced subsequent disasters in 2009 and beyond, losing her home and livestock, including nearly 150 cattle.
