The Manpower Ministry of Singapore has intensified its oversight, conducting surprise inspections on construction sites to enforce safety standards. Typically, inspectors visit one or two sites daily, and efforts have been ramped up by 35% compared to last year, especially targeting high-risk sectors like construction which accounts for about one-third of workplace fatalities.
