The wetlands also serve as a refuge for rescued animals, such as the lesser whistling ducklings that were saved from Changi Airport’s rescue facilities. Once rehabilitated, they are released into the wild, where they adapt to their surroundings, now marked by lush reeds and shaded lakes. These ducklings gather around their parents, learning vital survival skills like foraging and social behavior, gradually maturing into graceful adult ducks with characteristic yellow legs and updated plumage.
