Part 2/8:
Initially, dengue presents with mild symptoms such as severe headache and bone pain, but it can escalate quickly. In severe cases, patients may experience bleeding from gums and other mucous membranes, leading to conditions like hemorrhagic fever. This form of dengue causes blood vessel damage and blood loss, which can result in shock—a potentially fatal situation known as Dengue Shock Syndrome. Despite the serious nature of the disease, there is currently no definitive cure, and treatment generally involves supportive care to manage symptoms.
