The process begins with taking a small tissue sample from the patient’s tumor. From this small biopsy, clinicians select a set of 12 drugs—or drug combinations—that are most relevant to the cancer type. These drugs are then tested against the cancer cells in vitro, incubated with up to 155 different drug combinations over a period of 72 hours. The AI system evaluates the effectiveness of each combination based on how well it kills the cancer cells.
