Visions for change include better administrative policies—such as allowing students to use their preferred names and pronouns consistently, and securing comfortable, safe living spaces that reflect their identities. Many students expressed a desire to stay on the female floor post-transition, feeling safer and more accepted there, but also acknowledged the need for institutional support in making these choices possible.
They also shared their aspirations of living authentically: maintaining their chosen identity, fostering acceptance around them, and contributing to a campus culture that recognizes and celebrates gender diversity. For many, the ultimate goal is simple but profound—to live openly and joyfully as who they truly are.
