Part 9/12:
Physical presentation remains a critical aspect of affirming their gender identity. Students described dressing in ways that make them feel comfortable and align with their gender expressions. For some, the length of their hair and clothing choices significantly affected how frequently they are misgendered. Many expressed hope that starting medical transition treatments would help them appear more aligned with their gender, thereby reducing daily stress and misunderstandings.
Despite the barriers, students voiced their desires clearly: to be treated with respect, to live in affirming spaces, and to form authentic friendships. They emphasized that their primary goal is simply to live their lives as their true selves without fear or discrimination.
