Student housing proved a significant source of anxiety. One student chose a double room to foster interaction, yet also feared how their roommate would react to their gender identity. Though initially hesitant, they eventually disclosed their pronouns, which their roommate accepted graciously. Despite institutional efforts to provide gender-neutral bathrooms, the students described encountering persistent difficulties, such as being uncomfortable using existing male or female facilities, especially due to past experiences of sexual harassment and misogyny.
