Part 11/12:

After an extensive trial, my overall expenditure was nearly SGD 450 for the week—roughly SGD 1,800 a month—close to traditional ownership costs. The convenience factor was challenged by limited availability during rainy days, dirty vehicles, and damage concerns. For my typical travel pattern of about 40 km daily, personal ownership remained more practical.

Bottom line: Car sharing offers a compelling alternative for light to moderate users, particularly if access issues and vehicle conditions improve. However, for heavy daily travel, owning a car still makes economic sense, especially in a city with high costs like Singapore.
